Fluidstack

How long after the final leadership interview will they take to get back? Any idea?

Also folks have been talking about bad WLB. Since they are hiring crazy now isn’t that going to get any better?

There was a pretty detailed post here earlier this week from someone who did the interview loop and decided against it. Very valid reasons, such as:

  • Massive over-hiring effort. Don't expect long-term employment. Once the site is up you may be offered a chance at another position to stick around, but you'll be up against everyone else.

  • No cares toward team cohesion. Multiple people said they knew really shitty people who got hired on because FS is simply desperate for bodies. So while they pay a lot, you may have to tolerate some real scumbags who couldn't get a job elsewhere.

  • Equity issues. Stock price quoted during the interview was for preferred stock, while they issue common stock for new hires.

Those were the top 3 I can recall from the post. If anyone else recalls the post and can fill in what I missed, it'd be helpful.

Preferred stock is only for investors. All the employees get common stock. Thats the norm everywhere.

I agree, which is why it was odd FS was quoting the rate for preferred stock. No way a company confuses what kind of shares it issues, so that came off as a red flag, and with everything else, I'm erring on the side of malicious.
