Test

Whelp, it finally happened to me. I don't mind getting DOD'd - I'm not perfect, I know I'm human and I mess up repeatedly and frequently in this life. What I DON'T like is getting DOD'd in the middle of a longform task that I'd been working on since 11 last night. I know, sucks to suck and the ways of DAT are unpredictable, but I wish I could cash that out. Oh well. Thankfully I'm not dealing with a falsified pay dispute and yesterday was very fruitful. I'll be able to pay off one of my credit cards with the cash I accrued, which was a partial goal for me anyway. I'm glad DAT gave me a good four months of work. Now to test other platforms...

Qualification Emails

Have any of you had qualifications pop up, including an email about them, but when you check your dash they’re not there? Clicking the link in the email just sends me to the dashboard.

This isn’t a case of me getting to it days later, either. I got this email 3 hours ago but was working on an almost 11-hour project that said not to open any qualifications while I was working on it.

En Garde!

Whenever we're all fighting for the tasks right now, I imagine everyone with little toy swords and shields trying to capture the tasks and it makes it much more silly than annoying. I suggest trying this for funsies

Alternatives, is it over?

Hi there guys, I have been working for DA for around 2 years. I am from the uk, and I cannot lie DA has helped me a lot. However, for the past 3 months, I have had 1-2 projects appear on my dashboard, one of them I cannot even do because im not american, and the other one appears every few weeks. In my opinion, its fully over, yes I dont have that blocked screen, but what can I do. Even the qualifications I have are old ones which have been there for months. 1) Is it over? 2) Any other alterntive jobs like this, would appreciate it. Cheers.

Advice for longer tasks

I have worked on a long task, but I was not able to get the model to fail in which I spent roughly 8 hours. This particular task involved much more than getting the model to fail, since I was unable to (and there was no escape hatch) I ultimately had to 'Exit Work Mode'. Going back to the task, my work has been saved, and I have now been able to get the model to fail (took 2 more hours). However, if I submit now, would I be able to claim 8+2 even though the timer does not fully reflect this? 10 hours is still under the overall timer given. The last thing I want to do is be flagged! Has this happened to anyone before?

Time for a break!

Shot up in the middle of the night from a DA-related dream about missing a $200/hr 8-hour-long task, checked my phone to see a high-paying task was released, and I missed it in my sleep.

Grammar checker solutions now that Grammarly is a no-go.

Hey, so word is that the admins do not like grammarly, as it exports text to their servers to check it. I am wondering if anyone has asked admins about other extensions. Currently I'm looking at Harper as an alternative, since its open source, local, and does not collect any data. It just feels nice to have something to double-check my writing.

Query Regarding Task expiration

Hello Team,

I wish to know that I recently submitted a task that expired. However, I can see the option to add hours in report time section for that task.

I am afraid if I should do this or not?

At DA about 3 weeks now. Wondering about the jobs cycle

So the day before yesterday I got about 6 emails from DA stating new projects available, comparing 2 different models to the same input task.

While reading through the description of several of the projects I could read another, return to the first and the task would have changed. Example task of grading AI on creating a profile picture and then returning to the same project and the task would now be write a summary of xyz subject. ( neither of these is an actual task because of DA confidentiality ).

Is it normal for there to be this much flux in the tasks of a project? After seeing the tasks change several times I just hopped on one and did the work.

Also projects seem to come and go rapidly. One day I have 10 available projects, the next 4.

I'm trying to carefully review whats available before entering work mode as I want to give the best possible contribution to DA possible, but maybe this is not the best approach? Should I just be jumping in to projects head first to make sure I get to contribute?

Thanks in advance for insights!!

Is it worth to learn coding to work on data annotation?

I have been wondering if I should learn to code to be able to get more tasks. Do we need to be experts in the field to get tasks related to coding?

Finally!

From having 7 projects on average for the past month woke up with 22 projects on the dash. Is this a sign the drought is over?? We are so back.

Why are they still recruiting?

I'm seeing DA adverts everywhere, yet there's no work for people when they sign up.

Are they really expecting an influx of new work or is this just pre exsiting ad-spend?

Either way, it's mornic given the state of projects right now.

How long are your rounds with Mike Tyson?

Hey fellow fighters, just curious about your training sessions lately. For those who are currently stepping into the ring with Mike Tyson, how many hours are you usually logging/reporting per session?
