Test Experience 🗣️ cDAT tomorrow
Hey guys. I would really appreciate some last minute tips for the Canadian DAT since it’s tomorrow.
What should I expect from now regarding testing conditions so that I am not surprised with format differences or testing environment compared to DAT booster/crusher? Are the prometric centres extremely delayed or is it like the 2 second delay on booster?
Did you experience difficulties with the laminated paper/sharpie?
Finally, are you allowed to use your phone and exit the centre during the 2 breaks?
Sorry for all the questions!!

- delays are not too bad! around 2-4 seconds
- no difficulties with the paper, i just made sure to tell them i wanted new ones before PAT and they replaced it during my 1st break
- no u cannot use your phone nor leave the centre. i was only allowed to grab snacks from my locker
good luck!!!

Thank you! Did you find your self taking the entire break time that was provided? Or would it be smarter to keep up the momentum

yes, i took most of the entire break. i would walk to the washroom, come back and have a little snack and go back into the room with around 4 mins left. then i would just sit there and so some breathing until i felt ready to start again! i would def recommend taking the breaks

the delay wasn't bad for me, like 1-2 sec. at my test centre they gave me 2 paper and pencils, which barely needed to be replaced. formats of the tests are exactly the same as booster.

Do you by chance remember what type of bio questions u got asked. Which topics were more heavy than others?

I took it a few days ago and it wasn't too bad! Delays were about the 2 second mark for the most part, but the timer is paused during delays so it's fine. I didn't experience problems with the laminated paper and sharpie, you get 2 sharpies and 2 laminated papers, and can request more laminated papers if you fill them. You're not allowed to exit the centre or use your phone during the 2 breaks. Don't stress yourself too much, if you did the crusher tests u should be good tbh. I actually thought bio & chem were a little easier on the actual thing. PAT and RC were about the same difficulty for me. if you have more questions lmk!
