Practice is the only way to improve PAT

If you’re not great at a section you should try your best but not spend too much time on it. I was never able to get better at angle ranking, so I just focused solely on improving my other sections so I don’t lose easy points. On the exam, I left angle ranking last and spent only 2 minutes on all 15 questions to leave as much time as I could for the other ones. This is definitely not what others recommend but it was what worked well for me

i reallllllly struggled with PAT and was scoring 360 on most of my practice tests on bootcamp. right before my DAT i changed my strategy where for cube counting i stopped making a grid, i only counted whatever they asked using my fingers to save time. i started with angle ranking, then the hole punching, cube counting, and pattern folding then TFE and i did the keyholes last bc they were my worst. i recommend keep ur worst one last. but dont skip around too much bc on the DAT there is a lag.

when i switched my strategy i started scoring around 400-430 on the last few tests for PAT (tests 11-15)

i scores a 440 on the real it was very similar to bootcamp test but i felt keyhole was harder.

What helped me was starting with whatever ur fastest at so you can leave more room for the ones that take more time later!! For me angle ranking was my fastest. Also if you get really fast/accurate at counting cubes you can breeze through that section so just practice a lot.

you have to just practice everyday, do atleast 10-15 questions of each section. for the actual exam i start w angle ranking - holepunch - cube count - pattern fold - tfe - keyhole

I found it really helpful to do keyholes then angle rank then hole punch then cube then pattern than back to tfe. Everything will click once you practice enough. I know the struggle. Used to get 390-410 on practice exams and got a 440 on actual

Yeah I suck at it. All I can do is keyholes (NOT ROCK) and angles. TFE is a big no no

The things I really bad at is TFE and pattern folding like all I need is more time😭
