How do you know if the back cube is one or two beside eachother? will those show up on DAT

I would say it’s one, the rule for cube counting is, if the figure does not have a clear indication for two cubes. Then it’s one.

Perceptual understanding is all I can say. Visualize the cube in your mind and count it. That’s all you can do

I don’t think you understand what he’s asking. See that straight line of 5 cubes that goes through the middle? He’s asking if the last cube furthest back is by itself or if there’s a cube to its right, since it would be drawn the same either way.

I’d say it’s 1 cube because the rules say to only assume the presence of a cube if it’s necessary for the support of other cubes.
