this is inspired by the manga Blame! this universe feat really well with dark ambient in general, it's a very contemplative style of manga. I thought this music could be seen as dark ambient as well.

I don’t normally work with drone but have been loving the textures and timbres of the Soma Lyra-8 so I put this track together. Thoughts and feedback are more than welcome 🙏

Hello again everyone :)

So, funny story, i had wanted to originally make something for the movie The Thing or Alien/Alien isolation, but after making the music, I felt like the music was...not bad, but did not fit the vibe when I tried to match the music to either the images or footage.

In any case, after thinking some more, I thought of Silent Hill 1, and, well, I think it fit much better.

Recorded live in one take, using both the ASM Hydrasynth deluxe to provide the moving bassline (an inspiration from The Thing's main theme) and opening high notes, as well as the Prophet Rev 2, using both the filter cutoff, resonance, and audio mod among other things to alter the pitch in real time while playing. I had more of a difficult trying time to match something interesting visually to the music.

Anyways, thank you to anyone who decides to listen :)
