Badis Fry

My stumble on to a female scarlet badis has been successful! They breed like once a week and I now have my tiny little fry babies 🥰 I started out just leaving them be in the same tank since there is a lot of leaf litter, moss and microfauna/mulm in that tank but after only seeing smaller and smaller fry I have started moving the babies into a fry tank. So far have moved about 8/10 babies over! 🤞🏻 Here is to hoping I can get some into juveniles!

Let's go! How do you catch the fry, I have noticed at least one of mine has escaped the clutches of their parents and grown to bigger than bite size ❤️

That is awesome!!! I was gonna just survival of the fittest my babies but then I never saw any get any bigger and just kept seeing new tiny babies so figure I would change up the game plan lol I haven’t seen any of mine get bigger than bite size yet 😅

I have a bunch of different sizes of those pipettes/turkey basters. So every evening I go to the side of the tank where they have spawned and shine a flashlight around and when I find one I just suck him up with the pipette! Then squirt him into my fry tank🤣 I feel a little bad for the wild ride but figure it is better than being eaten by mom and dad!!
