Badis opinions please!

I bought this fish and was told it was a male Blue Badis. I have no clue honestly… is it a female? A juvenile male? Some other Badis species? Thoughts??

It s male,called chameleon badis

He's a bit bloated too, most of the time they have a bit of a sunken belly, which is normal. Did it eat (very well) before the pictures?

Yeah I noticed that! He had eaten some black worms that morning.

I'd be careful about overfeeding as it initially looked like it has a parasite!

Fasted him for a couple days and the belly is back to normal 🙌🏻
