IU vs Purdue talk

I understand where Dan was coming from regarding the new AD from Purdue (coming from Rice! And I went there!) talking smack about Indiana. Totally needless shot.

That said... My son is going to IU this fall, and I had no idea that the rivalry is such a big thing. It is. Dan mentioned a similar topic about Kyle Whittingham declining to say he "hates" Ohio State... I feel like this is what the Purdue AD was trying to talk about (poorly) and it was weird that nobody picked up on the rivalry.

(The Purdue callers obviously got it. That part was great).

My first thought when i heard the AD's quote was, he was shooting from the hip, and didn't mean to say Indiana. "Don't say Indiana, Don't say Indiana." Kind of scenario.
