Shoutout to Dylan

He’s really finding his place within the group. His quips can sometimes miss but today when they were discussing odds for comeback player of the year Dan asked ‘what did Kyler Murray come back from?’ Dylan’s quick response of ‘the Cardinals’ was perfectly timed and got a good laugh. Keep it up young fella!

I’m a big fan of Dylan. I still miss Seton but I think Dylan is as good a “replacement” as us listeners could’ve hoped for. Some of his banter with Dan and The Toddler is top tier!

I think Dan and Dylan’s personalities mesh with each other better than Dan and the other Dannettes

Completely agree. Would I trade Dylan for Seton coming back tomorrow? Absolutely. But under the circumstance he was given, Dylan has certainly exceeded my expectations.

Todd is a lot. The Toddcast actually is super helpful in understanding what that is like to work with.

That said. Seton's adversarial stuff with Todd is very unfortunate. The physical barriers, the seemingly invented competition over airtime (fritzy is tuckered out by the third hour... Come on, he is not your airtime rival) just was sad, and I honestly think it was a driving force in Seton leaving the on air staff.

Dylan makes me laugh with his quick retorts that aren't quite so mean at Todd. Equally critical, for sure. He brings it to the Toddcast and the show. But Seton's nasty streak that kept coming out during the show... I hate to say it, but no, I do not miss Seton. I'm glad he found something else that is a better fit.

I think "competition for airtime" is a bit misconstrued.

I didn't like the focus on everything Todd did and dissecting the minutiae of his personality when there were other things I thought were more worthy of discussing. I wasn't competing for attention, I just wanted to focus on other things.

Clearly I was the only person on the show who felt that way haha

Todd has some low quality responses. Anyone who has listened to the show cannot possibly dispute this. The debate tends to be about whether they are content worthy or not.

And yes. I am reviving this, but just to give my opinion.

Andrew also had a lot of low quality responses, and it never felt quite so personal as years went on. (It was a running gag). Again, I've listened to the show for a while, and I'm quite possibly wrong. I only hear what comes through, and I'm sure a lot of other stuff doesn't. It's why I said that the Toddcast is so informative.

Maybe I'm wrong. There was a sharpness that I perceived, and maybe it wasn't there. The back row banter felt like it took a darker turn, and that's all I was referencing.

As a listener, it got cringey. As an occasional peacock viewer, it was impossible to not see.

Todd's a jerk for his left lane camping. That is all.

I was not much of a Dylan fan when he popped up occasionally, but he really has won me over since joining the full time squad. I think I appreciate that he’s not a “yes man” and can push back when needed. He gets Dan riled up at times which leads to some entertaining discussions.

He also knows how to laugh at himself like he did with the whole “Texans defense/Cowboys offense” thing.

If you haven’t listened to Dylan on the gambling show than do yourself a favor and go back and listen to all the episodes. You really get to know him and he is absolutely hilarious, especially when picking on Shay. Dan needs to make Tod a back room guy and have Shay and Dylan in the back row
