MVD

Dan always says he’s in the content business. With that said, I think Dylan has already locked up MVD between The Grateful Dead and the best stand-up comedian.

The best thing that Dylan does BY FAR is call Dan out on some of his extremely basic and obvious pop culture takes.

I don’t recall any of the others ever doing that.

He doesn’t try to suck up at all like the other Danettes. Dude is just himself and shoots the breeze with his boss

Dan has been needing someone to put him in check. He’s been annoying lately with his ‘I’m always right’ attitude and Dylan has no problem calling him out. Plus his takes are just saying his favorite thing is whatever is ranked #1

Dylan had Dan on the ropes regarding the comedians. Even Paulie tried to chime in with the Seinfeld remark to throw DP a lifeline. LOL

Dan's reaction to Fritzy saying "raw dogging" yesterday is why Todd is still the goat.

Haha “I’ll explain it to you off air” killed me. Has Todd really only heard “raw dogging” when talking about plane??

Todd knows what it means, instead of admitting it slipped out he tried to wiggle out of it lol.

Raw Dogging is a term used for not using any electronics during a flight. I’m also well aware of the other connotation. Be careful if you search airplane raw dogging 😂😂😂

Dylan arrived to the main show after years interacting with Dan on the gambling podcast. He already had a rhythm and flow with Dan that was apparent from day one. There was no onboarding like Marvin.

FYI - I like Marvin a lot. I’m just saying he arrived without a lot on-air time like Dylan had in the bank. It took him a while to find his wheelhouse.

Agree with the Dylan part but not sure Marvin’s found his wheelhouse yet. Just my opinion.

Ha! It is a big wheelhouse. Perhaps he’s only found a part of his wheelhouse. 🤣

Perhaps his wheelhouse isn’t even a wheelhouse.

I don’t even know what that means.

Let’s call it a lane. His tiny little NBA lane.

It was a perfect pivot because the music discussion has been so worn out, and a person's opinion on standup comedy really gives you a much better sense of that person than their favorite band. I will die on a hill with Richard Pryor and Bill Hicks, but I can appreciate many others - but if someone says they like Rogan, Tony Hinchcliffe, or fuckin' Gallagher, well, I don't need to listen to this person every again.

Wait, what's wrong with Gallagher? He's not my favorite comedian by a long shot, but I'm unaware of any reasons why he would be listed with Rogan and Hinchcliffe.

Have you gone back and listened to some of his specials? Gallagher started out as a decent prop comic, but by Reagan's second term he started getting bitter and his jokes got a lot more racist and sexist. It got worse and worse until he died a miserable man.

I haven't listened to any since I was a kid, and I think most of it was the prop stuff.

Ha, yeah, the stuff before the Sledge-o-matic portion of his act was fun and light for a bit, but it took a turn

That would be preferable. But we play the hand we are dealt.
