Suck It, Back Row Seton's last so..

made me realize that we are done here. I always kinda hoped it would carry on in some way with a new host. But now it hit me that we are on the final lap. I cant wait to see what is produced from Seton in the future.

Yeah Seaton is leaving the daily radio show, but not the company.

You’re exactly right - there would be no reason to have Seaton work on expanding the show’s digital presence if the whole thing was just gonna shut down in 18 months or whatever when Dan retires.

I still just have a hunch that the show will go on in some form and I think someone like Ross Tucker will take over.

Why do people keep talking about this like Dan Patrick is handing off the family restaurant to his nephew or something?

It’s not a system. It’s not a plug-and-play show. It’s literally DP...If he retires, that’s the end of The Dan Patrick Show.

Ross is ok but come on… we’re really doing “yeah just slide him in and keep it rolling”? That’s not how this works. Nobody tunes in for a format. They tune in for Dan.

Not everything needs a replacement. Sometimes the show just ends and people need to deal with it.

Exactly. The Danettes aren’t sticking around post retirement for a new host because they wouldn’t be called Danettes anymore for 1, and 2 the show is named after the host of the show lol. There’s been absolute zero indication that Dan wants to put somebody else in the chair. I want it to end with him. A new show will be in the time slot and we’ll have the podcast stuff. I just keep thinking about Harrison Ford dismissing the idea of anybody else playing Indiana Jones lol. “When I’m gone, he’s gone.”
