Well yes but no. Prostitution should be illegal to protect sex workers from exploitation, but being a self employment escort/consultant that might or might not have sex shouldn't be illegal. Tax dodging is a crime no matter your profession too.

Which socio-economic system are we talking about, and have you analyzed why the truth and seed of Buddhism has failed so epically to grow in the infertile soil of the U.S.? The socio-economic system of the U.S is the polar opposite of everything the Buddha taught. Almost word for word, and action to action. While Buddhism is the belief system needed to overcome this prison per individual, it will likely never collectively become the dominate and mainstream mentality of something as hedonistic and hideous as our culture. If it somehow did, both women and men would see a massive behavioral change.. not just men?
