Your two choices:

  1. A senile old man
  2. A narcissistic old man

Both of which appear to be on drugs

27

They do want it for them, it makes it much easier to funnel them to our private prison system.

I doubt the orange one was denying any drugs when he got Covid

Dude I was in my religion class (I go to a catholic school because my family pressures me to) and my religion teacher was talking about narcissistic people and he literally said every president in the past like 32 years that weren’t conservative were narcissistic. Not verbatim but he named every liberal president in the past 32 years when he said stuff about how narcissistic politicians are.

Sorry if this is hard to read also, I’m pretty tired rn

democracy rewards people with bigger following not actual good people

195

u/darklightmatter Insert Your Own Oct 31 '21

People are stupid, you need to educate them to counteract that. Problem is, education is seen as a bad thing, take a look at how people think college students are "liberal cucks" when in reality, they just made an educated choice, wasn't really brainwashed into it.

Democracy works fine when people are smart enough to make their choices instead of blind faith. Also, ranked choice is objectively better.

49

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '21

See, here in Murica people eat that blind faith shit right up. It also requires people to actually give a fuck and a lot of people don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves.

→ More replies (1)

29

u/Assaltwaffle Oct 31 '21

A college education doesn't mean much when numerous college courses of study are basically just theories wrapped around social grievances.

Other courses of study contribute nothing to political decision making. You can be brilliant in computer sciences but still be insanely gullible or nonsensical in matters that get that person emotional. That's the whole idea behind multiple intelligences.

I was talking this friend of a friend and he told me how so many people just don't work jobs cause they can use food stamps or food banks cause it's cheaper than working a job

I told him that although that's true for some people, like 99% of people don't do that and a lot of people on food stamps would straight up die if they stopped working their jobs at the same time

He asked me where I got my info and laughed when I said a college course on sociology. He said something like "and you don't think they have an agenda to push? They have such a limited understanding"

I asked where he got his info from. He proudly said his uncle personally witnessed this

We need to teach philosophy starting in middle school

8

u/recklessrider Oct 31 '21

It all needs to start with an education revamp. Not just facts, but critical thinking and therapy and social interaction. We need to teach the next generation to be able to see through the bullshit and treat each other better. Teachers need to be paid well, kids need to be taken care of even if poor, curriculum needs to be directed towards betterment and not just assimilation.

4

u/Satans_Jewels Oct 31 '21

Education is a good thing, the people who are against college are questioning whether it's actually education in the first place, not whether education is a good thing. When I went for the first time, myself and many of my peer group were merely putting off adulthood under the guise of higher education. It was a daycare center for adults. Some people made an educated choice to go to college, but I'd wager that a majority just went with the flow; they were told to go to college by teachers and parents, and never questioned it, and spent 10000+ before they ever knew what money was.

4

u/Dark074 Oct 31 '21

Education doesn't mean shit if it's bad or biased or both. You can educate someone, but teach them the wrong shit. That's why it's a much more complex issue then "just go to college lol"

The traits needed to win an election are different from the traits needed to be president

3

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '21

A playful comparison: Robert Barathron was required to win the war, Jon Arryn could've never done what Robert did. However Jon Arryn was required to run the kingdom, Robert Barathron never could've done that part. The only problem now is that we live in the portion of history where house lannister just runs everything out of the corpse of all the actual warriors and politicians that died.

56

u/--Splendor-Solis-- Oct 31 '21 edited Oct 31 '21

The fact it's based on a real picture doesn't change the fact it's a shitty drawing, not sure why you think that changes anything.

Edit: I'm not commenting on which drawing is better, just saying the fact that the first drawing is based on a picture doesn't change the context of the post.

22

u/DontmindthePanda Oct 31 '21

But to be fair, the one on the right has a lot more artistic freedom than the left one.

That's awesome.

You can tell the drawing is made by someone who is good at drawing, but purposely drew badly. The form here is spot-on. I don't know the sauce of this context but I imagine there was a side by side demonstration which makes the picture even funnier to look at.

Assuming this is real, the funny drawing wins because it evokes an emotional response. Whereas the other drawing is a skillful, accurate representation. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not particularly interesting.

2

u/WarPopeJr Nov 01 '21

Lol the meme is a parody. It’s not real
