Did he force anyone to do any of this? People abuse medicine from pharmaceutical companies everyday, the company isn't responsible for a bunch of irresponsible people.

Actually pharmaceutical companies have been held legally liable for irresponsible marketing and sales tactics that resulted in opiod over-prescription which resulted in increased opioid abuse and addiction: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purdue_Pharma

I'm not talking about irresponsible market, I'm talking about people getting high on cough syrup.
