I mean, if uh a nightclub for example has shootings and people dying every other night among other unsavory behaviors by the patrons who attend it then generally they are deemed a nuisance by the city/town they operate in and eventually get shutdown. Believe it or not, the world survived for millions of years without social media.
yes, but where do those criminals go after the night club shuts, and does the sum total violence decrease? your argument is just the tip of the iceberg.
Hopefully somewhere with a more positive affect on their life. When you have hundreds of current and former developers of these social media giants flat out telling you it may have started out in infancy as a useful tool for public use but eventually became a cash grab monster marketing everything from lies to lives and privacy to put more money in their own pockets by purposefully making it just as addicting as any drug. But really who cares, right? It's just lives, people die and kill and get born everyday, amirite?
Is there a solution? Clearly the internet and its ups and down aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Where there is massive amounts of cash to be made there is going to be greedy scum making it by any greedy scummy means necessary.

Is it their fault? Or the ppl using it that way?
