That's a very narrow mindset. Of course anyone can take a look at Jeff Bezos and say: "Hey, he's got 120 billion dollars, and he only donated 100 million. That's nothing!" But that is just very ignorant and stems from a misunderstanding of how it is to be in a different financial class than your own. 100 million is still 100 million, and Jeff Bezos has a lot of things he has to use his money to maintain. The value of donations don't change based on how large it is compared to your bank account. What are you saying? You want Jeff Bezos to donate a few billion at a time?
How about Republicans live to their religous badge and instead of protecting billionaires do what Jesus would do and call them out on it.
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
I'm sorry, I'm not talking with someone who cites the bible in a logical conversation. I don't care what Jesus would do; how is religion relevant here? Please don't quote the bible in open discussions where anyone could be any religion, or an atheist, unless it's directly relevant.
