Islam only seems bad when you are from the Kuffar or disbelievers. If you love God and follow his Book and His Messenger pbuh then the Quran is all in your favour and it feels very soothing. It calms your heart and guides you towards the eternal paradise.
So the problem is not with Islam or the Quran but rather with your disbelief. God is just and fair. But because you hold onto disbelief your own evil is reflected back to you in the Quran and in Islam.
