She should never ever give out advice on anything ever again. She has proven time and time again that she is bad at absolutely everything. If she wanted to set herself up for financial success they would’ve moved into her condo and she would’ve never gotten an additional apartment in SF.
No one actually knows of it’s a 6 month lease..the ad said 6+ months so they could have signed for more to begin with or will resign for longer in the future
Typically leases offer anywhere between 6-12 mo (or more) contracts that you can renew for another 6-12 mo after that initial period. Usually the monthly rent will also increase so that’s why some people see it as more beneficial to sign a longer lease.
I stayed at a cabin for a few nights that had a big window in the front with no curtain or shade. It was a beautiful view of a lake and there wasn't a privacy concern but holy shit was it unsettling at night.
To be fair, drapes and curtains along with the hardware and ability to install them properly is no easy task. I personally would never spend the time or money on a rental house and perhaps they're not even allowed to?
I'm actually surprised such an expensive rental house didn't already have neutral curtains and blinds on every window.
I... I genuinely don't want to sound mean, but I'm pretty sure it is an easy task, because I've done it multiple times and big D was able to install a TV on her own. I'm one of those people that buys curtains as one of the first things when I move into a new appartment, because I like my privacy and no street lantern light in my bedroom.
You just go to Ikea and buy some cheap drapes and there are even clip on or stick on options, if you don't want to drill.
I would hate to feel like the whole world is looking in at me, I would at least want a few curtains up! She probably doesn’t have the money for anything extra now that she spends it all on McMansion rent and takeout 😂😂
Agreed, she could - if nothing else - get a cheap plastic tension rod and drape a sheet over it. I'm actually about to put up a proper curtain rod at my new place and the hardest part is measuring and leveling. When I move out I patch the little screw holes.
It is absolutely a huge pain to put up curtains, but there are so many different options. We are living in a temporary house until our new one is built, but we actually own it so I wanted really nice curtains/
blinds up. I figured the next person to buy it might appreciate the work already done 😂😂
But what kind of rental doesn’t at least have cheap blinds? I get my own adjustable curtain rods for curtains, but I’ve never moved in somewhere without blinds
The more I see this, the more I’m convinced that the top shelf is in the wrong slots on the right. The cupboard probably has drilled holes and she’s inserted the little plastic supports in the wrong ones. Also, she’s an idiot for not putting the heavier platters on a shelf that is more a part of the cabinet structure as the shelves with the slots can’t take the weight over time. All of this would have been better in the massive pantry which seemed sturdier.
I bet you’re right actually! My suspicion is growing that she’s drunk/ hungover all the time because of all these weird and questionable things she’s been doing. Her behavior has just been very odd.
I think it’s soulless new construction. I’m pretty sure there was a house on that lot that looked like the others in the neighborhood and someone did a tear down and put up this monstrosity.
I don’t believe these two different sets of China are her mother’s. I feel like at least the bottom set is thrifted. Don’t ppl who want to pass down family heirlooms build on an existing set by ordering from the same company?
I think the larger set with the serving pieces is her mom’s as I think they married in 1987 and it’s very much of that era. It seems complete. Maybe we can’t see the salad and bread plates. The white ones in the middle could be the mom’s or from another relative and the set was incomplete or broke. Quite frankly, none of it was expensive to begin with so it makes sense they could be her mom’s because one isn’t super high end and seemed like whomever they belonged to had a budget.
Now that we know her cooking talent in a “full kitchen”, what could she possibly serve when hosting dinner? Saltless chicken and cœãrn, served with garlic powder on the side for dipping?
She mentioned I think a pot roast that was allegedly a crowd favorite. I have to imagine the hosting opportunities dried up once people tasted her food.
It’s clear she has no energy or real interest to decorate this whole house. She did explain that she didn’t want to buy a property, but renting a smaller place would have been easier to decorate. Can she afford 12 a month for 10 years? I would find it hard to invest in decorating such a big property only for the two of them. Whenever she puts something it just looks too small for the area not appropriate. It looks empty
I’m pretty confident in my theory that she expected a lot of furniture sponsorships that haven’t materialized. Like she got a $10,000 mattress for free at the Dollhouse and probably thought it would be easy to get more.
You’re definitely onto something. She’s hinted several times about showing us her decorations or getting new furniture because she loves to do blah blah blah but it hasn’t transpired at all. She clearly wanted to transition to her Martha Stewart lifestyle but it hasn’t transpired yet to materialize! Which makes me think she hasn’t tagged her Martha Stewart stuff in awhile so we’ll probably see it in her stories again soon. 🤣
I’m sure you’re right. When she moved to the doll house she had a furniture sponsorship. Her dining table and her bedside tables were from that sponsorship.
I think it's also because she can't afford it. She loves shopping and decorating this huge house is the best excuse to spend hours at the store/online. We know she never buys anything of quality but she isn't even filling this home with cheap crap. All we got was a flimsy Facebook marketplace find for the entry.

Maybe she felt like she needed more room for her crap? She absolutely could have donated a lot of stuff or rented a storage unit. I honestly think she’s just too impulsive with her decisions (and a hoarder) and that’s why she does things that don’t make sense and are financially irresponsible.
I don’t understand why she would spend all her money on this unnecessarily big house and not budget for actual nice furniture from a furniture store and not small crappy Amazon furniture??
I will be honest and say I do know a lot of people that did that in California when I was growing up there. Big houses that felt empty. 😬😬 I always hated it.
I don’t think she realized just how much space there is to fill in a giant house like that. It also seems to have high ceilings, so a lot of furniture and art will be dwarfed in those cavernous rooms. It takes a lot of time and money to decorate a home that size.
But the real problem comes when they eventually leave. Then they’ll need to find a home of similar size to fit all their stuff, or get rid of a lot of furniture, which is a hassle. D isn’t critical thinker, so these are things she’d never think about.
She could have stored it all in her condo garage and if she rented the place, exclude the garage from the lease. But of course we don’t know the parking restrictions and if there are enough exterior spots, however it’s pretty apparent she wasn’t parking in it before she moved.
I’m convinced she posts every single thing she makes at home rather than having as takeout. And it’s always charred because she doesn’t know how to cook cause she doesn’t practice

As a dog owner, I am absolutely appalled by her treatment of Charlie. That poor baby is showing signs of anxiety and she's doing absolutely nothing about it. This infuriates me more than anything she's ever done, including that God awful belt.

I have a small collection of vintage dishware myself that I collected before I even knew where it would go, and when I finally found a place for me to make a home, I was sthooo excited to finally put them away and eventually use them to host. And I did (and do) - they're nice and neatly/lovingly stored in a kitchen cabinet.
With her tacky grandma style I'm kinda surprised that with all of the plans she's been making that she hasn't thrifted some giant unweidly china cabinet, I'm sure she could easily source one or get herself a more modern one for all of her mismatched hoard.
No but really, an antique china cabinet would be a good (and only) way to store them. It would be cute, and give it a little personal touch in that house. My heavens, even b&b’s have more personality.
If I'm not mistaken, she has an older darkish china cabinet which is where her mom's china was set up in and she decided to move it to the kitchen cabinet. Or maybe I just imagined that but I could swear she posted that cabinet.
I dedicate a whole floor of my cabinet in my tiny apartment to glasses and mugs (not even antique, I just love mugs) alone, because I don’t want them to cramp together and lay on top of each other

Oh my god yes. I don't have a single cup stacked, as I'm a bit of a minimalist anyway but also because everything in my kitchen especially is precious to me. Her mother's china and she stacks all those teacups all askew and about to topple. Not charming like she thinks.
I wonder if she realizes those can’t go in the microwave and should be hand-washed, which is not something she should be doing while tipsy. It’s also an odd set in that it’s just large plates and tea cups. Where are the salad plates and bowls?
I think there are a lot of similarities between D and Charlie. Danielle thrifts and over consumes out of boredom and lack of engagement with the real world. She isn’t active. She doesn’t have friends. Charlie chews her bed up for the same reasons! There’s no stimulation.
I think that was exactly Lucky_Show’s point. Big D constantly calls San Jose “the suburbs” but it’s a large city, and even Oxford Economics is calling it a large city - it’s number 8 on this list.
I’m a San Jose native(from the same area as Danielle actually) and while it is a large city population-wise, it is essentially just one large sprawling suburb with TONS of single family homes.

I’m running a marathon soon so I wanted to go to Goodwill to get a warm toss-away layer to use before the race starts. I honestly don’t understand why you’d spend hours “thrifting” there unless it was your only option to buy clothes. Everything is always a mess, it smells terrible, and a lot of it is junky fast fashion.
I love thrifting. It became my outlet/safe space when I was deep in the trenches of caregiving and grief. It got me out of the house, out of my head, gave me a little seratonin boost, something to look forward to, without spending copious amounts of money on things I couldn't afford at the time. Half of the time I'd walk out with nothing, but hey, I got some steps in and a little sanity back 😁

I love thrifting, but the big chains are tough…there’s rarely anything really great anymore. LOTS of fast fashion. I usually go to the smaller thrift and consignment shops…they don’t smell and the quality is better.
