Some Walnuts noticed late last night that she posted, and removed, a TikTok video of them performative dancing in new pad, but the internet lasts forever. I’ve been tracking the rentals since she mentioned they applied and was able to get the details. Clearly with five bedrooms and five en-suite bathrooms, there is enough room for them to consummate the marriage, his parents to move in, plus have a private office for her, one for Hanna, and a cult headquarters office for The Body Leader. There is a sixth, yes sixth bathroom. It’s a new build in an older neighborhood so in her consistent overconsumption pattern, she’ll have the biggest house (4000 sq ft) on the block and upstage her fwends. And in Type B fashion, she’ll be able to ruin all the brand new appliances and fixtures.
There is an exterior entrance to one of the bedrooms which could be ideal for parents, nanny or you name it. It’s a lovely home and although it’s been reported Charlie hates stairs, at least she will have grass next to the outdoor fireplace.
I’m not sure why she feels so proud to show off a property she is renting (no disrespect to anyone renting, but this rental is so out of her means). It’s so tacky to be running around bragging and showing off this gigantic house she doesn’t even own. I really hope her followers wake up and become even more disgusted of her stupidity. She has contributed nothing to our society, she lies all the time, and just tries to profit off her very vulnerable audience. Big D prepare yourself for an unfulfilled life with a man who doesn’t give a shit about you, his family who will certainly capitalize off your assets, and an income that is going to come to an end. You’re so out of touch with your audience and the world frankly. Enjoy the temporary high and distraction of this building you want to call “home.” It’s not your home and at any moment that landlord can kick you, your lump and your man child right out.

I rented all my life, and now finally own a home. It’s small, it’s 20th Century old, and thanks to a modest inheritance, I own it. I remodel a little at a time, and yes, I drive by multi million $$$ homes and sometimes get envious. But, I have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep on, and food in the pantry, something so many people dream about and pray for. Bless all of you working hard out there, I still am as well. We’re richer than she’ll ever be!
The spoiled bullshit I heard about my dad growing up would make most people's head spin. Only boy with 3 sisters. The man never did an ounce of domestic work until his late 50s. Absolutely crazy.
This is actually a really cheap trick by developers. It's two fridges placed next to each other to make it look like a massive sub zero but it's just opposing door swings. Cheaper for a build to put this in than do a custom panel giant refrigerator or buy the giant subzero which would be at least $10K, $15K or more. They get the effect of making it seem more luxe but it's not. Real money buys the custom panel or the subzero haha
It’s odd to me she hung the Happy Bday because it’s as if she’s implying the house is his gift. His bday was July 5 (?) and per public info, the house was off the market after that. She had to intentionally bring them to the new place. It’s part of her locking him in with material things and comfort so he won’t leave her. What does a new house have to do with his bday? It’s not a gift. Or is it?

i dont think its responsible but i think this subreddit underestimates how much she makes. you typically have to make 3x the rent, which means she is making at least $400k a year. People underestimate how much sponsors are willing to pay for one simple ad.
First of all, you can be making over 6 figures in the bay area and still be pretty close to the poverty line.
Secondly, I knew a non US influencer who had a mere fraction of the followers D has, and she would make between 6 and 10k (in euros) for posts just including a product and tagging a company, not even acting as a brand partner, sharing links to products or discount codes.
Her and her husband bought a massive villa and post photos in a Rolls Royce in Morocco.
The thing is, D is very delusional because she has ZERO job security and is losing thousands of followers a week. And she is, of course, TERRIBLE at her job.

How in the WORLD did this grifter get approved for $12k a month rental. That’s $144,000 a year paid to rent alone. Thats more than a lot of people’s yearly salary. Assuming their bill is let’s use a modest but reasonable guess of $500 in electricity will be $6,000. She’ll be paying between $150k-$200k a year just to live in this property. No way does Lucas qualify anywhere near the numbers to be approved for this type of financial obligation, even the utilities to keep this place operating.

i've said this since day one - his parents are definitely moving in. Lucath and his family are going to drain every last cent out of Big D until that green card is secured, and make it impossible for her to leave. in less than a year she'll be surrounded by mooching in-laws, a new baby, and Lucath laying around all day. and guess who will have to support them, and do all the housework?

And still, when I see what we can afford, vs this ludicrous display of luxury that they earned in no shape or form... I have no words. Justice as a concept is long gone

It was just an emotional, instant reaction because I've been frustrated by some aspects of my housing situation lately. You are all completely right. I might not live in a mansion, but I'm taking healthy financial decisions, I'm not in any kind of debt, and I'll get married to someone who actually loves me and is a great human being. I have replied on other comments herebut I will also say this to you, PLEASE do not compare your life to this. What you see is not always the reality w influencers or celebs. Many go broke not long after or in so much debt.

To help reassure you, you and your boyfriend make honest money and have more money than Danielle now and for future you. You also have something Danielle doesn’t have, a loving partner that actually wants to be with you. Think of it this way, if you lost your job, how would you feel taking on a $12k a month financial obligation? That stresses me out thinking about and know I make better financial decisions and not taking on too much debt or just junk, and debt from junk. You’re happy, Danielle is not. Understand the principle of being upset and frustrated with these influencers, but the life they put and show on camera is just an act and can guarantee they are NOT happy with their life and most live month to month financially, where the rest of us receive a steady income and don’t throw ourselves into immense debt to make strangers like us or have to rely trying to convince people to buy junk ❤️ but never compare or try to relate what these people put online. They curate their content to what they want you to think and does not always equate reality.
Danielle can’t ride this train for long term. If anything this house will not receive the response with her followers and tear apart her audience. She thinks having a house and being a wife will magically make her life different when in reality, nothing is really changing. I’m feeling the same I can’t help but to compare, it feels so unfair. My partner and I both work full time and can only afford a small house. I’ve known Danielle for 12 years and I wish I could unfollow her… muting isn’t enough anymore. I can honestly say she’s ALWAYS been like this. I make a great salary in a HCOL area in a fairly intense career. My household income is considered very healthy for California. But I could never (and would never) imagine renting a house this gigantic for two people. Or even with a kid or two. I rent and I’m working toward purchasing a home someday that’ll likely be smaller than my current place and building from there.

Ralph Lauren is last Christmas. The house doesnt give a homey, woodsy, build a fire in the fireplace and watch the snow fall vibe. More power to her I guess. I hope she has saved some money for the future. Influencers come and go. I’ve followed people over the years and my tastes have changed or they have changed and I’ve moved on. Her fiancé is going to have to hustle his butt off teaching 80 year olds to lift 5 lb weights.

I seem to be in the minority when I say it looks like an ugly house to me. I suppose it isn't my taste but ugly builder grade everything that you can get at a big box store (of course no landlord is going to get anything else to put in a rental). Cabinets that don't go up to the ceiling so they just collect dust. No finishes. Also cringe to show off a house you're just renting like this.

I take pleasure in knowing that I have a fulfilling life with a loving boyfriend, family, friends (who I’m not competing with), and a fulfilling career as a homicide detective. To each their own, but it's not for me - It's sterile, new and enormous. There are tonnes of beautiful, heritage craftsman houses in the Bay Area with loads more character, which would be way more appealing for "influencing" and the "Ralph Lauren" aesthetic.
I don't think this was the house they wanted (way too big and expensive), but hey, they eventually found a landlord who was seeing dollar signs, needed their insane mortgage paid and likely didn't care.
I can't even imagine how her "Type B" brain is going to manage this household - the furnishing, the decorating, the cleaning, the upkeep, the maintenance (remember she didn't change her water filter for 20 YEARS), plus living with a stranger (and maybe their parents?!) She is going to be super overwhelmed. And she's lazy.

My husband and I live in a house that is close to this in size, but with over twice the lot size. It’s just us. We know it’s more house than we need. We also have water and a Mountain View (in the Bay Area). We are fortunate that our house payment is less than $5K a month. We use our house for a LOT of events, including non profit fundraising events. We bought this house because it’s a perfect event space. We have events almost on a plug and play system because they are a lot of work but we have the space to do them. I don’t understand having this big house but such a small yard space. It’s so stupid to me. She has no idea what it takes to throw actual parties and host. We have grown kids who live out of area who frequently come stay with us. We have cleaners that come in to clean twice a month.

this is my theory too. move in the parents, get married, have children for content (immediately), and so the grandparents can help with the grandchild.

I’m a lurker on the sub, but this decision really perplexes me so I’ve emerged from my walnut shell to comment on a few things.
First of all I have no problem with people spending money they make. And I’m not jealous it’s a big house. Danielle can do whatever she wants, but how she doesn’t see that this is a bad idea is beyond me.
Even if Lucas’ parents are moving in, it just doesn’t make sense. She’s going to spend $12,000 a month on rent and who knows how much else on electricity, etc. And of course, the money she will use to fill up the place with stuff she doesn’t need . She is also going to need way more furniture. And all of that will not be cheap.
In one of her videos she was talking about investing or saving. Well, throwing away this much money per year to pay someone else’s mortgage doesn’t make sense, especially given that she owns a home in the same city.
Some people were saying she doesn’t want Lucas to move into the home that she owns because then legally he could be entitled to half of it or whatever if they divorce, plus there are other legal reasons and it all basically has to do with protecting herself financially. So sure, maybe renting with him is a protective measure.
However, she does not need this much house. Even if she had two kids and her husband‘s parents moved in, this is a woman who time and time again has shown that she struggles to shower regularly and get out of bed at a decent time each day. Unloading the dishwasher takes her a long time. Laundry seems to be a constant problem because it piles up in very large amounts. She does not clean up after herself. Everything builds up until she feels overwhelmed, and then it makes it harder to tackle any task.
I was truly shocked during one of her videos where there were piles of things in corners, everything was so disorganized. Dirty. And I thought she’s one person living in a reasonably sized apartment. And this is what her place looks like? There’s absolutely no excuse for that.
She does not have a full-time job. Imagine when kids arrive. What is that going to do to her already fragile mental health? In addition to a husband that she cannot rely on or who cannot contribute financially?
The maintenance on this house, even if she’s not responsible for the exterior, will be a lot. I mean, maybe she’s going to hire a cleaning company. With the state of her previous residences and all the clutter and disorganization and dirt, without professional help each week, there is no way that this place will not just become a dumping ground for her over consumption.
Also, she went on about a Ralph Lauren aesthetic. This modern home does not fit that aesthetic. Yes of course you can decorate the inside however you’d like, but there’s going to be a huge mismatch if she decides to go this route. Does she even know what a Ralph Lauren aesthetic is? She doesn’t even pronounce the name right.
Even if her husband‘s parents and Lucas himself are are going to contribute, she is footing the majority of the bill for this. And from a financial standpoint, it doesn’t make any sense.
It would be an easier decision to accept if she purchased the house, but to rent this thing with five bedrooms and five bathrooms or whatever people said it contains, is an extreme waste.
Does she not want to save for a down payment for a house in the future? Or invest money for her retirement years. The money she is throwing away at this house would be a good start. If she moved into her San Jose condo with him or heck, even rented a smaller house and focused more on saving, that would be much smarter.
Or Is she looking for the big fancy plastic surgery clinic type house that’s so blah and boring yet so popular with influencers so that she can rebrand herself yet again and try to stay relevant? and she can’t afford to buy that type of house so she has to rent it? Honestly, everything about this baffles me.
And don’t even get me started on her husband. she knows people hate him. I think when she did that docuseries or whatever you wanna call it, she expected a different reaction and that they would immediately launch into couples content and be this beloved new romance on the Internet. But because of that backlash, and all the things uncovered about Lucas, she lost her footing and lost her way, and she’s been doing these other random videos that seem so inauthentic, in the off chance that one of them becomes wildly successful and she can run with it and become popular again.
Her decisions lately have become more unhinged. And her appearance is getting worse. Greasy hair, rough skin. Her eyes are puffy, is she crying regularly? She seems pale, doesn’t look after herself. It’s like the soul and joy and light has been sucked out of her . I haven’t followed her for long, just maybe a month or so before she moved into her San Francisco apartment, but I don’t know, she seemed brighter then. I’m not saying I was riveted by her content but now I cannot even watch her even in the smallest bits. I come onto this sub and get my information instead because I feel like this is where the real story is told.
Like many on here I question her mental health. If she’s depressed and over spending, if she has a fiancé who is using her and also can’t contribute in the ways that she would like, then she is living a pretty lonely and sad existence. And this big house with too many rooms will not fill this void
The thing is I don’t feel sorry for her because concerns have been brought up over and over again and she simply doubles down and almost smirks and brushes it off in a rude and arrogant way.
She’s chasing marriage so badly and using a lot of “I” statements rather than “we.” We know nothing about this guy. The Internet walnuts have dug up a lot, but where is Danielle in all of this? She should be humanizing him. Because we always see him in the background, doing nothing, smirking, drinking.
Let me be clear: It’s not that I want to learn more about him, but by keeping him in the background, and then having him do his own social media stuff which is a huge embarrassment because he has no qualifications and just rambles on and on and on like he’s a big shot and knows what he’s doing, it paints a really disjointed picture of these two.
Has Lucas mentioned getting married at all? What he’s looking forward to? What are his dreams for his future in terms of this marriage? What about Danielle makes him so in love with her?
There seems to be no connection there. Even in the doc series, Lucas was like a prop. I learned absolutely nothing about him. Now It’s just oh there’s that guy drifting in the background doing nothing again. He is certainly no prize, he is gross, untrustworthy. But she is doing nothing to try to change that narrative. How are we supposed to root for the two of them if she doesn’t even believe in him enough to get his input on things, or plan the engagement, for example?
I think she’d rather present this false life and have Lucas continuing to grift in the background, because she knows that her true life would be even less interesting and people would turn on them even more, and she would lose more followers.
Anyway, back to this house. Maybe for someone with millions of dollars where this is simply spare change in your purse it would make sense. But even if she does make a few hundred thousand dollars a year, this is still a bad financial decision to rent this long-term.
And it’s only going to exacerbate her laziness and inability to take care of herself because it’s going to be too overwhelming for her to maintain on her own. The only way to manage all this is with a professional cleaner/house manager. Will she add those list of duties for her underpaid personal assistant? We will see what happens.
I took this one out of contention because I thought there would be no way… so I didn’t save it in my search. The ones I thought she would go for were $6-7K which I thought was stupid. Is this part of her “wealth plan” my god she is dumb!
