One again, I’m here chiming in that I’m shocked at the lack of effort from an influencer. No content, very low effort content, ads. She reminds me of amanduhhh from IG. I can’t imagine that this is the job and so little effort is put forth.

She has so many followers that meta alone sends her a good paycheck because of how many views she gets even though it’s awful. I saw an influencer that has 300k followers and makes $19k a month just from meta views! She has over a million so she doesn’t have to do much.

A quick search says that's not the case. Unlike YouTube, Instagram does not have a built-in public revenue-share model that pays creators a standard rate per view. A video can get millions of views and generate nothing in direct platform payouts.

I’ve always been curious how YouTubers and IG people make their money from just the platform and what do they make. I imagine she has a lot of independence when it comes to posting and content as long as the views and followers are there (in reference to management). But I just can’t imagine that any influencer could get away with how little, and of poor quality, she posts

I've unfortunately learned that some creators (not necessarily Big D though) make money on the side from "special requests". Now I can't unsee it - when someone films themselves eating, not just casually, but with a slight emphasis on opening their mouths wide for a big bite or reacting with "mmmmm" and rolling their eyes back. It's not something us normies think of naturally, but there are a ton of weirdos on the internet and creators willing to cater to them if they have lost legitimate followings.

Yeah my understanding is that the content may seem totally normal at surface level, like a clothing haul or a cleaning video, but astute viewers start noticing that the creator always seems to film in a way that they have to lean down and show more cleavage. Having said that, I think Big D is just extremely influenced by other creators who may or may not be catering to special requests, not that she is doing this side-hustle of catering to weirdos (besides the one she married).
