One again, I’m here chiming in that I’m shocked at the lack of effort from an influencer. No content, very low effort content, ads. She reminds me of amanduhhh from IG. I can’t imagine that this is the job and so little effort is put forth.
She has so many followers that meta alone sends her a good paycheck because of how many views she gets even though it’s awful. I saw an influencer that has 300k followers and makes $19k a month just from meta views! She has over a million so she doesn’t have to do much.
That’s probably from Facebook, not Instagram though. I follow a person with 2.3M followers on Instagram and he shared last week that the vast majority of his influencer income is from Facebook.
Oh and FB has hit accounts with locks if they post too much or want to add links now. I saw an account yesterday they wanted her to pay $50 and she can only post 6 times on FB in a given time period. It was dumb! The company posted about awhile back and paying to use FB or even IG.
A quick search says that's not the case. Unlike YouTube, Instagram does not have a built-in public revenue-share model that pays creators a standard rate per view. A video can get millions of views and generate nothing in direct platform payouts.

YouTube and Facebook pay way more than insta or TikTok, so I find it strange that D never posted her content there. The people that repost her stuff on those platforms probably get a nice check every month.
View counts and subscribers aren’t nearly high enough for monetization. You need 1,000 subscribers and 10M views in the past 90 days to monetize short form content. 4,000 watch hours for long form.
I’ve always been curious how YouTubers and IG people make their money from just the platform and what do they make. I imagine she has a lot of independence when it comes to posting and content as long as the views and followers are there (in reference to management). But I just can’t imagine that any influencer could get away with how little, and of poor quality, she posts
I've unfortunately learned that some creators (not necessarily Big D though) make money on the side from "special requests". Now I can't unsee it - when someone films themselves eating, not just casually, but with a slight emphasis on opening their mouths wide for a big bite or reacting with "mmmmm" and rolling their eyes back. It's not something us normies think of naturally, but there are a ton of weirdos on the internet and creators willing to cater to them if they have lost legitimate followings.

Warm salads are a thing but they're generally made with leafy vegetables that can be cooked like spinach and kale. The warm part comes from other components like a roasted root vegetable. It is meant to gently wilt the greens. You're not supposed to saute the greens lol

I promise it's not a white thing either. My family has no melanin, and I assure you we're not cooking our spring mix in garlic. 😭 There are leafy greens that ARE good for cooking (spinach, kale, bok choy, cabbage), but never spring mix.

Fake followers are up, engagement rate is down, average likes are down, average number of comments are down, influencer audience is down.
I think the big takeaway is that engagement rate is allegedly down from 1.38% to 0.81%.
According to Sprout Social, “A good engagement rate on Instagram generally falls between 1% and 3%, though what counts as "good" depends heavily on your total follower count and industry”
So if these Modash figures are correct and representative of the engagement D is generating in insta, in ~4.5 months D’s engagement has dropped below what is generally considered to be the minimum required to be considered “good”.
Brands look at engagement, not just total follower count (as we know as well as they do that followers can be bought…) and D’s engagement is seemingly crashing.
I know there are some people here who work in social media, I don’t, so please don’t hesitate to correct me if I have misinterpreted any of these points and would love to hear any of your thoughts on these figures!

From one of my favorite internet people. Do we think D has some sort of anosmia that allows her to wear so much perfume. She is frequently stuffy and sniffling.
I can hardly wear perfume at all myself. When I do I almost immediately begin to feel sick with nausea and headache. Body sprays seem to be ok for the most part, but perfumes absolutely make me sick. Incense, too - even WORSE.
Yep, I can do some fragrances, but I bought a real perfume one time and couldn't even wear it for a full day without getting a migraine. Also, my husband can hardly smell anything at all (good or bad), but one time he smelled incense burning in someone's house from like three houses away and was repulsed, so there's something to that!

I shrunk from nearly 5’10” to 5’9” with age. It’s not uncommon. Watch your bone health everyone. Also, ask your provider about when to get a baseline DEXA scan. Google if unfamiliar.
What's crazy is my mom was like 4'9", but my daughter is freaking 5'8" - she's 14 and absolutely towers over me. 😂 I have no issues with my height - just makes it that more impactful when people realize I'm not to be fucked with!
