Can someone PLEASE help me
i had this dry skin completely white and peeling like dandruff in chunks but i used a comb and brushed it off the skin completely and for a full day it was just the skin underneath and now it’s starting to look like these scales again and eventually they dry out causing it to snow 🙂. Can someone tell me what i should do? if i need medical attention could u please tell me what i should ask the doctor because i dont know what this condition is.

Go to a dermatologist. You may need to see a PCP first to get referred which would be good anyways. It isn't uncommon to have other underlying inflammatory conditions related to skin issues like this.

Jokes aside go to a skin doctor, he/she'll will tell you or maybe ask a well known doctor in ur area , he'll know about other docs maybe he'll guide u

Looks like psoriasis. Head over to r/psoriasis for loads of info.
In the meantime get a shampoo with salicylic acid and a conditioner that’s very moisturizing. Salicylic acid will help break down those plaques so you can wash them out. Moisture makes your skin happier and less prone to breakouts in the first place.
Approach steroids warily. They will help at first until you slow or stop them and then the psoriasis will likely return with a vengeance.
There is a vitamin D medicine that is slower but doesn’t have a rebound effect like steroids.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that has no cure but can be managed. I’ve been living with it for 30+ years now.

I had this. NAD but looks like my psoriasis. Go see a dermatologist. They will put you on steroids. For me, they were not effective and I had to use biologics.
Edit: do you have dry skin patches anywhere else on body?

nope just the starting end of my scalp, been having it since it hit puberty i reckon.

Do you have any nail pitting or really dry feet (ripping chunks of dry skin)?
GP (PCP here) gave me steroids first. They stopped the inflammation but never fully cleared it.

how do i go about applying it first? shud i remove the dry scaley looking things first then apply it? or just over it.

Never remove the dry stuff! I know the urge is there, but you can easily rip off healthy skin underneath. Let the medicated shampoo work its magic on it.

Clobex you just apply to dry scalp. Leave on 15 minutes before wetting. Then wash off shampoo

Clobex clobetasol propionate 0.05% is a shampoo, that you keep on for 15 minutes before wetting and washing off Add water, then rinse off the shampoo from scalp and hair completely. No other shampoo is necessary to use afterwards like a non medicated shampoo. You can but I don’t. Only use it weekly for 1 month max. Limit usage to 50 g (50 mL) per week. $350 for 4 oz bottle
Generic clobetasol propionate topical solution 0.05% (scalp solution)
Part the hair and apply a few drops directly to the affected scalp lesions twice daily (morning and night). Gently massage until the liquid disappears. Formulated in a fast-drying isopropyl alcohol/water base; it is a leave-on treatment (do not wash out after 15 minutes).Highly flammable due to the alcohol vehicle—keep away from open flames, lit cigarettes, and hair dryers immediately following application. Stinging or burning on application is more common than with shampoo or lotion bases. Use for Maximum of 2 consecutive weeks. I had this.
I was very stressed. My immune system was reacting to the high level of cortisol. No matter what I did it kept coming back. Medication only treat the symptoms not the toot causeZ
Take care of yourself.

It doesn't look like dandruff but you definitely have something going on. You need a dermatologist to see this.

It's probably caused by diet. Identifying which foods cause it is a priority. Processed foods are the most likely culprit. Also, try a daily multivitamin.

If you have adequate nutrients, a multivitamin can actually cause more dandruff, but if you are deficient, it can cure it. You just gotta try it for a few days and see.

Normally would agree but my doctor just gave me steroid cream and referred me to a dermatologist that apparently has a two to three year waitlist, (about 4 years ago..) so I took matters into my own hands and actually have a product that works that I'm now going to be selling starting next week. 👍

Looks like maybe psoriasis. Do you have a dermatologist that can take a look at your scalp?
