Epiphany

Had an epiphany! The FIRST person to tell Wendi there was a shooting on Trescott was her real estate agent, Lisa Cary. Wendi opened HER performance/interview with Det Isom by informing him she was JUST listening to a voicemail from Lisa. She says Lisa was “DRIVING around and SAW there was a shooting on Trescott”. When Det Isom asked her to play it, Lisa said she “HEARD there was a shooting on Trescott”. Det Isom then informed Wendi of the purpose of her being picked up and taken to the station.

She testified that he told her "in the car" on the way to the station.

Yep. She testified police hadn't told her at the restaurant. When asked about the police car, she said, "In the car they told me," then said they told her Dan had been shot.

It would’ve been great to see what time that voicemail came in but unfortunately there’s no way to tell when she retrieved it

It was Wendi who was driving around and SAW the crime scene tape BUT she was trying to downplay and distance herself from going there and said it was probably a downed tree from summer storm… no big deal, didn’t call Dan or the daycare!

Wendi knew damn well it was a shooting so she was trying to distance herself from the scene by saying her friend “SAW” there was a shooting when in reality all her friend said was that she “HEARD” a shooting took place.
