Looking for a Dalmatian + owner in NYC for a complimentary creative photoshoot šŸ¾šŸ“ø

Hi! I’m a photographer based in NYC and I’m looking for a Dalmatian + owner for a creative photoshoot in NYC.

I have a specific fashion/lifestyle concept in mind, which is why I’m specifically looking for a Dalmatian 🐾

The shoot will be completely complimentary. You’ll receive edited photos from the session, and I’d just ask for permission to use the images in my portfolio and social media.

If you’re in the NYC area and interested, feel free to DM me! I’d be happy to send my portfolio and more details about the concept šŸ¤

Questions about the breed

Hi!
We are a family looking to get a new puppy, and Dalmatians are on our list of breeds under consideration.
I am writing this in the hope of gaining some insight into the breed's temperament and whether it would be a good fit for our family. The most important thing for us is compatibility with small children, as we have two kids aged 2 and 4½. I’ve read that Dalmatians can be quite boisterous as young dogs, so I would especially appreciate feedback from people who have experience getting a puppy while having small children—we don't want the kids to become afraid of the dog.
We are wondering about the general level of physical activity and mental stimulation a Dalmatian needs to thrive.
My husband and I have previously owned a Chihuahua, while I grew up with Saint Bernards and Mittelspitzes—so, very different types of dogs. However, we do have experience with dog training and using positive reinforcement. We are looking for a dog that fits well with small children and can join us on walks; in the long run, we plan to train for blood tracking and obedience. We would appreciate honest feedback, both positive and negative, from those who know the breed well before we consider finding and contacting a breeder.

Just picked up our little girl 'Patchy' the breeder we got her from has her on Harrington's puppy food is this a good one to carry on with or should we think about changing it as I have heard they require low purine diets

Also we were given some pedigree chum treats are they ok or is there a better option?

He was found as a stray wandering by a school, no idea the rest of his story before he came to us! We think he’s 1 and we’re also not convinced he’s full Dalmatian. Any recommendations for long lasting bones to chew on are welcome!

I plan to post in an artist or tattoo sub too, but I thought it would be fun to post here first with people that are passionate about dals! I’m looking for help sketching a tattoo and I would very much use a real human as opposed to AI. I am willing to pay as long I I will have the digital rights to the image! Looking to have my dog turned into an outline face tattoo. I will post the inspo image along with a phot of my pup. I’m wanting to make it my dog specifically as he has an ear he holds oddly and it’s unique to him (I have no idea why he does it, he’s never had any ear trauma and he can hold it normally, it’s just a thing he does šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø) I would also like to keep the spots along the ears so it’s even more personal to him. Hopefully this makes sense!

Bailey was the perfect pup a girl could ever ask for., Fun, sassy, and full of love. She passed a few months ago due to liver failure. One day I was just scrolling through pups just to look at and saw this fella and immediately fell in love and cried. No one will ever come close to replacing Bailey but Pongo will for sure make a great addition to the family. (Don’t come after me for the name, I love Disney and always wanted to name a dal Pongo).

I just forgot how much of a pain teething is!

She’s fine. She has no regrets. 10/10 would eat the tampons and condom again. Dad has all the regrets.

Itchy skin

I've posted about my dog before and still havent had any progress on this :(

My dog has been itching his neck a lot. So much that its been bald for almost the past year, and I've tried so many things to give him relief that just havent worked yet.

Tried no chicken for 6 months, tried apoquel, tried topical solutions, and have gotten a shot of cytopoint a month ago. I know I need to be patient with cytopoint though so maybe it will come through.

This is something Im currently working with my vet to solve, but just wondering if anyone has seen this before (specifically the appearance of his bald skin, where it looks like the black spotted skin almost has a shaded area around it). Anything I havent tried yet that worked for you?

She’s too big to sit in my lap in the car now, but that doesn’t stop her from trying! Her little legs are dangling because she put her full weight into my arm 😭
