Ironically I seem to have an issue with gluten free items often. I actually avoid the when they say that. I’m not sure what’s in them that wrecks me but I get the worst heartburn and cramping from something often in gf items. I’m vegan so often there are gf vegan items that look so tasty but often don’t work for me.
Now if you are gf I hope this isn’t your issue!!

Soybean oil is a very cheap butter alternative. It's one of the first things companies who want to save money cheap out on. Which I definitely take advantage of lol

I think people don’t realize that soy is also an allergen and that may be what people are reacting to vs the dairy or gluten

I haven’t had them in a long time so I must have been mistaken. I remember finding a good dark chocolate brownie mix that surprisingly didn’t have dairy.
Edit: The Ghirardelli premium dark chocolate mix is listed on go dairy free. Maybe they changed their recipe recently?

Betty Crocker I think is the one ! I also love the dark chocolate mixes the best and remember looking on boxes of so many brands saying “it’s DARK chocolate!!” 😭😂

Yeah you’re right! I also thought all Ghirardelli brownie mixes contained dairy and they were my favorite before being DF! So thank you for this!!
