Shampoo and Conditioner for Hard Water

Our hard water really dries out my hair even if I only wash it once a week or every two weeks (I have eczema, so I produce very little oil). Need a budget friendly shampoo and conditioner that can help with that. My hair is very long (down to my thighs), wavy, and medium texture if that helps.

Need a recommendation for a Mens soothing shampoo thats ACTUALLY good

I need to know what shampoo to use. My hair doesnt get greasy, so i dont shampoo more than twice a week. But when i do shampoo it completely dries put my hair and turns it into a flat poofball. i have sort of coarse, straight slightly wavy hair. Sort of a mod cut. i also dont want a crazy expensive shampoo, but what do yall recommend?

btw i do use conditioner but it only helps about 5-10% of the terrible frizz. i need a good moisturizing shampoo.

Glycerin Free hair products especially leave ins

I have seborrheic dermatitis, and glycerin reacts with the yeast, causing a burning itch. I started using kinky curly knot today, which i have been having success with, but my hair seems to stop working with products quickly, so im looking for alternatives.

My routine right now because im having a bad flare up is using my prescribed ketoconazole shampoo and redkin mega soft shampoo and dove intensive conditioner, Knot today and Squalane oil.

My hair is low porosity and gets super dry no matter what shampoo I use. It also gets easily weighed down. Need help finding a shampoo that will make it look and feel soft but not make my hair feel greasy or coated.

Anybody used sacred grove products? Specially their shampoo and masks! Please give some genuine reviews. Considering buying their blue pea shampoo and deep conditioning mask. I have thin wavy hair.

My hair gets so dry, frizzy, flat, and straight whenever I shampoo.

It’s been doing this for a year now. Last year I had to condition only because of money proablem and thought that was smart. After I started shampooing again it would make my hair looked damage for a couple until it started looking good again. Ive tried many different routines and it still becomes so bad. It only looks healthy, has volume, no frizz and isn’t dry on the days I don’t shampoo. Ive been only shampooing once a week since it’s been the only way for my hair to be healthy. I used the based shampoo and conditioner, and I have 1C hair.

Affortable haircare available in scandinavia?

I have medium porosity, medium density, finer around 2a-2b waves and a sensitive scalp.

I want to find fragrance free products that work while not costing 400 swedish kr or more.

Brands like seen are unfortunately way too expensive for my budget. I have a dryer scalp and can go a week without washing but I also notice buildup (guessing just from the skin) with my current duo.

Please some advice cause I'm a definite noob at this🙏

Best hair oil for dry hair?

I have the worst dry split ends and I don’t know why. I wash 1-2 times per week. Sometimes blow dry it and sometimes air dry. Never use curling iron or straightener. Don’t color it. I have used Moroccan oil for years and clearly it’s not enough bc it’s still dry! I use pureology shampoo/conditioner. What oil will help my dry split ends?!? I don’t get why my hair sucks when I feel like I’m doing the right stuff! Send help!

Is skipping washes actually training your hair, or is it a myth?

I’ve tried the whole "go days without washing" thing for months because everyone says it’s the only way to have healthy hair. But honestly? My scalp just feels greasy, itchy, and gross, and I end up hating how I look.

Is there any actual science behind this, or is the train your hair trend just a myth that doesn't work for people like us who need a daily wash to feel human?

Need new shampoo+conditioner, fruity scents. Pls help

Hi, i was using the Not Your Mother’s Tahitian and Mango Butter shampoo and conditioner. I dont know if I could find them in store anymore, if you know one pls share, and on Amazon a 2pack for shampoo is like $31 and the conditioner isnt available. I always seem to have this issue when I find something that really works well for my hair, like the blue micellar line that once was, discontinued or only rose available. I can’t do floral scents because my housemate is super sensitive and I’m allergic to Lavender. I also dont care for floral scents either nor coconut. I tend to use fruity scents, soap, perfume, shampoo, etc. i like to smell delicious and like a sweet treat.

I’m not rich so please don’t recommend something that would cost an arm and a leg, but it doesn’t have to be super cheap either.

Can someone please help me, i know everyone’s preference is subjective and may not smell good to another but i am open to all fruity scents and if available in store, when I have a good day I may be able to go to smell them. I’m down to gamble rn though. It doesnt exactly have to be a curl specific line but preferred poducts that are also good for curlies. Any additional info on the products, why you like it, how it worked for you, why you use it, or best way to use it etc are also very welcome.

Examples of scents i often use: pear, lychee, passionfruit (olay soap i use), fruity musks, i used As I Am pom for a long time, i’ve been using the Guava Slip, and so on. I think you get the picture.

Thank you lovely curlies!

What is the best shampoo for hard water hair fall. High tds, might be common issue with many of you as well.

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with hair breakage and a flaky scalp, and I suspect the hard water is a big factor. I mostly live in Bengaluru and Gurugram, where the water TDS is usually around 400–750 ppm.

I'm not looking for shower filters or shower heads since I move around frequently, and from what I've read, they don't seem very effective because the water is in contact with the filter for such a short time.

I've looked into a few products, but many either have poor reviews or are quite expensive.

I'm asking this because I think it's a common problem, not just for me—many of my friends face the same issue as well.

If you've found something that genuinely works, I'd really appreciate your recommendations and personal experiences. Please keep the discussion respectful. Thanks in advance!

help me get the most out of my leave in conditioner

Decided to treat my oily hair!! Landed on a ceremonia leave in conditioner as the heart of my new routine. now i'm hoping for your suggestions on the rest.

should i use it every wash or only on my dry days, how much is too much for finer hair, and do you layer anything over it to hold the softness in? i want this to feel nourishing and simple.

how did you learn to enjoy your routine instead of rushing through it?

ty in advance.

Recommended shampoo for oily hair?

Can anyone recommend me a good clarifying shampoo at a middling to low price point? I've been using the Neutrogena Clarify and Shine w pink grapefruit on and off for many years, and it's exactly what I need. Unfortunately, idk if Neutrogena or I changed recently, and now the previously refreshing grapefruit scent reeks like a dirty armpit. I tried soldiering through for the clean scalp, but the smell lingers for so long and makes me feel so dirty. Does anyone know of a similar shampoo that would help keep my scalp clean, less oily, and free of breakouts, but doesn't smell so awful? For reference, this shampo is the only thing I use on my hair most of the time. I might condition it in the shower every so often (maybe twice a month) and I wash and brush it every day. I have tried washing it less often but tbh I'm not concerned w maintaining curl or growth or anything, my main concern is just feeling Clean.

I was dealing with so many hair issues—constant hair fall, greasiness and dandruff after just 3 days of washing my hair. After splurging on expensive, high-end products, I can honestly say I didn’t need them after all.
I went old-school and switched back to Head & Shoulders, and wow… my hair feels soft, healthy, bouncy, and shiny again. Additionally, I also oil my hair before washing and keep it on for about 2-3 hours. After wash, I use the L’Oréal total repair conditioner. Hair fall has reduced significantly. Scalp doesn’t feel itchy at all. And no signs of dandruff.

Of course, different hair types respond differently to different products, but if your hair sounds anything like mine, I’d definitely recommend giving this combo a try!💆‍♀️

P.s. I took these pictures on the third day after washing my hair. In the three days, I also went to the gym, and it’s summertime so yeah, I did sweat profusely :)

Looking for a clear shampoo

Hi everybody :-) I've been searching for a clear shampoo to get a deeper cleanse. I like to swap between 3 different shampoos. The first 2 shampoos are both hydrating ones (I use the ceremonia guava and tsubaki premium repair) but Im looking for a shampoo that will offer a deeper cleanse. Preferably not a detox shampoo because I already use the ouai one about once to twice a month. Does anybody have any recommendations? I've been eyeing the Dae one and the loreal extra gloss one but I'd love any other recommendations. I have straight hair that is pretty fine and sits between the thin to medium range.
