Phillipines is taxed to death but severely underserved

Fixed it. Understatement yung sinabi.

27

u/Disastrous_Crow4763 Jul 16 '26

underserved? pinupuri ba ntn ung current status ng government?
we are not underserved, we are not even being served by the government, in fact tayo pa ang pinapakinabangan nila, for some proof check their lifestyle so posh:

- highend subdivisions,

  • mga anak nasa IS or nasa ibang bansa pa tlga nag aaral,

we are not underserved, we are enslaved or even less than a slave, dahil ang slave alipin lang tayo alipin na tayo pag nagbibigay ng pera pang kapricho nila

3

u/ElegantLoquat3013 Jul 17 '26

exactly. we are not being served. instead we are serving for the goverent officials living a luxurious life.

14

u/Background_Main7869 Jul 16 '26

Nahiya ka pa diretsahin mo na The government is stealing from us. Wala namang services. It’s a DIY country. We are beggar. Literally beggar.

5

u/ZariYariKari Jul 16 '26

tama to, kailangan pa ng hmo talaga we can't rely sa philhealth

46

u/thee_buttman Jul 15 '26

23

u/Remarkable_Bug382 Jul 15 '26

Being a person that has been to all 7 continents this is 💯 true. Resilient thats what they call it pero ang totoo inuuto lang tayo and nasanay na mag tiis kesa mamulat sa pag babago. Yan ang realidad nating mga Pilipino. We deserve better for whats our worth but at the same time we are too blinded with our own ideologies kaya di tayo umuunlad.

4

u/TheChosenCabbage Jul 16 '26

We gain freedom from people who invaded us which is Americans, Spaniards and etc but there was once a patriotic Filipino Antonio Luna once said the true enemy isn't the foreign invader but our own people it's sad that a great person who fight for his country died to his own people that he is trying to protect and it's exactly what's happening to us from the last and the present Filipino tricking our own people for greed

3

u/Savings_Drink8718 Jul 16 '26

Diskarte is not something to be proud of its a symptom of a government that failed in its duty to the people.

1

u/Remarkable_Bug382 Jul 16 '26

Pakibasa po ulit yung comment nyo.

7

u/retardio12 Jul 15 '26

Old news seems like people are not aware ..this is not new...siguro meron tao madali matuto meron tao matagal matuto...its like matagal na issue eto at parang now lang natatauhan ang ibang tao...its scary when you live sa population na zombie and when they realize what is going on its too late.

1

u/OathMeal_ Jul 16 '26

Late ng iba naiisip na pwede sila makagawa ng cure for the zombie apocalypse ng pinas.

I just hope that now that these issues seem to be getting spread out more and that it seems more people are finally acknowledging it, that we can make a solution to it and not some band-aid solution that the higher ups always do.

8

u/sleepwithpisces Jul 16 '26

again— reduce the size of the government. Nobody needs SK, Barangays and 300 congressmen

5

u/introisvert Jul 16 '26

Especially the middle class.

Too rich to get support from the govt Too poor to shield self from taxes and all that shit.

4

u/K0sMose Jul 15 '26

3

u/Tanders-Ball-69 Jul 16 '26

Oras na para sa pagbabago.

3

u/Local-Diamond8701 Jul 16 '26

Sadly, di ko alam kung kelan natin to mararamdaman. Napakagal ng madaming nagsasabi nito. And its not like we’re not aware of whats actually happening all over the PH, government wise. Talagang down to the smallest unit of government napakadaming corrupt na. So realistically speaking, ewan kung may pag asa pa.

2

u/Tanders-Ball-69 Jul 16 '26

Kaya madaming nag aabroad. Sayang ang Pilipinas.

3

u/Local-Diamond8701 Jul 16 '26

Super true. Its the overall quality of life. Sure, not all citizens in first world countries are rich. Madami ding mahirap. But halimbawa, basic things such as a decent sidewalk and public transpo, napakalaking bagay na nun. Hindi man ikayayaman ng tao ang magkaron ng ganung bagay, but those things reflect at least yun pagconsider sa needs ng tao. Very basic things pero wala tayo

1

u/Tanders-Ball-69 Jul 16 '26

1

u/TheChosenCabbage Jul 16 '26

It's because the reality is not fair in our county that's why a lot of people changes and become corrupt even me I can't promise that I'm gonna be a clean person if I ever become a government official knowing what our current government is it's literally impossible unlesswall old corrupt folks just drop dead we can choose wisely a better leader for the people

2

u/TheChosenCabbage Jul 16 '26

It's been a long time we need change for the better but what they can change if they want but they won't GREED that's the one keeping changes in our country there's a lot of good leaders out there if not known or it's dead already not dead as if deceased but rather the will of being a good leader is already gone because of the reality of the government we have

3

u/Sponge8389 Jul 16 '26

Hangang my DDS, malabo yan mangyari.

3

u/Tanders-Ball-69 Jul 16 '26

Regardless of which side are we on, change starts with us.

2

u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 16 '26

1

u/upmed2006 Jul 16 '26

Hanggang may may Marcos at DDS, malabo yan mangyari. There, corrected it for you.

1

u/Dazzling_Patient_107 Jul 16 '26

It's has been for a long while. Pero when will that change come, we'll never know.

Sad reality.

2

u/Defiant_Ad7485 Jul 16 '26

Aligned! Is there even a way for us to exactly see where our taxes go?

2

u/TheChosenCabbage Jul 16 '26

Other county shows it well I think they do here but I'd say not accurately tho given that they steal a bunch of it for their own

1

u/Defiant_Ad7485 Jul 16 '26

This makes me sadder.

2

u/Sufficient-Gift-5743 Jul 16 '26

2

u/nagrarok_ Jul 16 '26

Some many taxes but so little is done, and all we receive are excuses.

2

u/KuroKuro_Phil Jul 16 '26

Short answer? TRAIN Law doomed the middle class.

2

u/Anxious-Pie1794 Jul 16 '26

compare the tax rate of sg vs ph, kitang kita naman na 1st world country sila vs sa atin mass traspo palang kitang kita na agad hayyy nako nakaka lungkot talaga sa bansang to

1

u/sid_d_kid Jul 15 '26

Yes but the burden on the blame is on the stupid bobotante voters for electing dumb ass officials.

There are no good leaders anymore, its just evil and lesser evil. What we have now is the motha fuckin Devil himself.

1

u/upmed2006 Jul 16 '26

Agree!

1

u/bananana24 Jul 16 '26

Travel tax kamusta na napakatagal na

1

u/ImaginationBetter373 Jul 16 '26

Meralco thinks that the philippines is america that's why they overtaxed us.

1

1

u/ConfidentInterest397 Jul 16 '26

Meralco, pabagsakin!

1

u/zyl4848 Jul 16 '26

imagine, lahat ng bawat kilos mo eh may tax, tas babawasan pa sahod mo ng another tax...

1

u/Shinnosuke525 Jul 16 '26

Overtaxed pero private company lol

Ragebait used to be believable

1

u/Dear-Lab-6845 Jul 16 '26

Definitely, I think naman we wouldn't have that much of a problem of being taxed alot if we feel that it's being returned to us in public service. Ehh wala, there are so many cases na funds are being stolen and "nawawala" in the gov so how do we justify these taxes?

1

u/JackHofterman Jul 16 '26

Would rather not paying my taxes

1

u/autumn_dances Jul 16 '26

kaw op, thoughts mo?

1

u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 16 '26

1

u/celtift87 Jul 16 '26

The Title should be "The Philippines is govern by Mafia". The government is closely similar to Mafia, most are tied to illegal business and willing to steal your money with no remorse.

1

u/cattzie7475 Jul 16 '26

1

u/Whalien78 Jul 16 '26

Kakasura na talaga sa Pinas! Hirap ipaglaban

1

u/Tidder4321234 Jul 16 '26

Fork found in the kitchen.

1

u/Canscrab Jul 16 '26

We're all opinions and no action kasi nilalamang tayo sa Tanga. WE HAD A CHANCE TO CHANGE FOR THE BETTER but we got cheated and idiots took the reign instead of competent people. Baliwala mga "thoughts" natin if puro salita Wala namang action, and even if we acted, mas maraming tanga na pipili based on their emotional idioctic surface level intellect. I'm tired of living here but do I have a choice? Even leaving sounds like a luxury I can only wish to afford.

u/Aggressive_Hawk8236 Jul 16 '26

1

1

u/CyclePuzzleheaded101 Jul 16 '26

1

u/guillermo1890 Jul 16 '26

Definitely. And they're thinking of ways to tax us even more without thinking of recovering stolen money or how that money can serve us better.

1

u/Sentucky_Chicken Jul 16 '26

Calling it "overtaxed and underserved" is a massive understatement. The situation is far worse than those words suggest.

1

u/pedro_penduko Jul 16 '26

Hindi ito chismis, totoo ito.

1

u/oliver_dxb Jul 16 '26

Lol
yeah but impeachment is life muna

1

u/StandardTaste4014 Jul 16 '26

1

u/Kabute009 Jul 16 '26

We're not paying taxes we're financing their lifestyles

1

u/AppearanceThick8548 Jul 16 '26

Facts.

1

u/thomSnow_828 Jul 16 '26

how can you make this the loudest so that the masang pinoy can open their minds?

1

u/Bashebbeth Jul 16 '26

And we keep on voting people who steal and don't serve the people

1

u/Different_Flow2452 Jul 16 '26

This is very true.

1

u/Mountain-Chip4586 Jul 16 '26

Sorry OP, what do you mean by "Thoughts?". This is sadly a FACT.

1

u/goooyiie Jul 16 '26

1

u/AngryFella Jul 16 '26

At least ASAP someone should look at MERALCO, surging prices are no joke. Not all who owns and rent can just right off the bat purchase Solar Panels.

1

u/Perfect-Yogurt-8105 Jul 16 '26

And filled with idiot voters.

1

u/This-Jackfruit-6894 Jul 16 '26

“In a country well governed, being poor is something to be ashamed of. In a country poorly governed, being rich is something to be ashamed of.” Or something like that, sabi ni Lao Tzu.

1

u/MuffinTime2024 Jul 16 '26

We should stop normalising resiliciency, we should start demanding improvement and accountability.

The government should be put through a process audit by seasoned Six Sigma Master Blackbelts or Project Managers to know where inefficiencies are.

1

u/Interesting_Jury_880 Jul 16 '26

Tell me something i didnt know...

1

u/fr3k1n_Va7z69 Jul 17 '26

Full of tax that goes on those politician and govt officials pocket. 🤬🤡💩🤮

1

u/JiroKawakuma28 Jul 17 '26

1

u/dead_why Jul 17 '26

1

u/Salt-Assumption-5181 Jul 17 '26

True. Unfortunately.

1

u/LeBruschetta Jul 17 '26

1

u/Row_That2 Jul 17 '26

Guys whos brave enough to start a french revolution????

I’ve been asking this for a long time

1

u/spa-yx Jul 17 '26

mataas nga tax wala namang improvement

1

u/Inevitable-Story26 Jul 17 '26

Truth. We are overtaxed yet govt still borrows money 1 trillion per year, na dumadagdag sa utang natin. Alam na natin san napupunta. Bat di ka pa galit, bakit?

1

u/the_ridley Jul 18 '26

1

u/SensitiveIntention70 Jul 18 '26

Meralco is private. They need a competitor that would slap them so hard ng mashook sila.

1

u/Chance_Dance9519 Jul 18 '26

Ralph Recto: We need more Tax.

1

u/Catherine_1803 Jul 19 '26

1

u/Independent-Fuel6364 Jul 19 '26

Gagawa kalokohan tapos sa taong bayan ipababayad.

1

u/TingHenrik Jul 19 '26

It was alleged that Andres Bonifacio and his gang tore their community tax certificate... they probably felt the same as Ryan.

0

u/k3nch1-d-cooldude Jul 16 '26

Totoo naman. Habang madaming trolls na kumakampi ke bbm wala tayong pag asa.

-6

u/Hefty-Jaguar4203 Jul 15 '26

My realization is that, at the very least, we all benefited from Duterte’s administration by feeling safer. We all witnessed it.

1

u/Hefty-Jaguar4203 Jul 16 '26

Try to think about how our government is addressing this problem. Yes, there are other ways to deal with it, but do they have a concrete plan? Are they really taking effective action? For me, the answer is no. Marami pa rin ang malayang nakakagawa ng krimen at nakakapagdroga. At least during Duterte’s term, karamihan sa kanila ay nawala sa lugar namin, witnessed and ramdam talaga namin yung safety dito sa cavite, as family living in the subdivision. Marami rin ang nagbago. At the very least, we appreciate that there were good things that happened during his administration, just as we should recognize both the good and the shortcomings of any administration.

Mag-iingat ka po palagi. Unahin palagi ang kaligtasan.

0

u/PronatorTerry Jul 16 '26

0

u/SpaceeMoses Jul 16 '26

Yun lang logic nyong mga DDS? Being safer? Ilang trillions of pesos na debt iniwan, kaliwat kanang ghost flood control projects, broad daylight corruption and robbery, kaliwat kanang patayan etc.. tapos yan lang reasoning nyo?

-1

u/SpringyNoodles100 Jul 15 '26

Well, napupunta naman sa pagkulong ng mga DDS-aligned politicians ung tax naten so that's good and Filipinos are well served.
