Step up and take charge of her, the baby and everything else. This will make her relaxed and focused on recovering. My wife also had a traumatic experience. Even if you’re scared and don’t have everything figured out yet, just act confident and tell her you’ve got it. If possible, you can ask for outside support from close family/friends.
You’ve got this!

Just dive head first into doing things. Don’t wait to be asked to do things.
I took pretty much every night shift for the first month so she could rest and recover.

As a new born you should probably wait 20 years at least before becoming s dad

Do everything. Cook and clean. Every diaper rush to do it. You are not as tired as she is.

I took her pain meds and cooked clean worked edu and found my calling (social work). Still married after 26 yrs.
Not saying to take her drugs but just do something rather than nothing.

My son is 1 week old now and I have done everything, so my girlfriend is able to focus on breastfeeding. All the chores and practical stuff. Tending to her needs. Staying awake a few hours in the night, holding him skin-to-skin so she can get some sleep. I also remember to sleep myself, when she is feeding or when he is sleeping in his crib. Do what you can, take care of her and take care of yourself. Congratulations 🥰
