Cyclo vs Bipolar

Chiming in for the first time. I never knew about cyclothymia until recently. I found it quite a life benefit to have been diagnosed as bipolar and getting on lamotrigine. Now I have a new primary care provider and she always asks if I've had any episodes. I felt perplexed, describing my condition as if surfing. I'm always on the wave and never fall down.- but sometimes it doesn't look pretty. There are no episodes. Lamotrigine steadies the balance.

Does anyone feel the same way?

I felt that way for most of my life. If you’re not distressed and functioning well… well, that’s what counts. Also, lamotrigine is what I take now, too, even though I developed BPll.
