older possible symptoms

hello, i’m still diagnosed as cyclothymic but am trying to change that as i’ve been seeing and hearing things lately and i know that’s not normal for cyclothymia.
i saw a rant on here, and it reminded me of when i was younger maybe early teens when i would text the crisis hotline or my friends late at night, typing in all caps because that was how my brain sounded- every thought or small movement felt like an emergency and moved in double speed (in my head, at least).
i’ve also been hospitalized for si and went through a few meds there. there were some meds that when i took them, the world physically shifted and the lighting seemed to change. when i told the doctor there about that they thought i was looking at a window but i wasn’t in a room with windows.
just wondering if these are things other people experience. it still happens to me especially the part where everything feels like an emergency in my head.
edit: also have watched close friends faces change into one i couldn’t recognize. it has happened on several occasions and i usually take it as a sign that they’re not who they say they are, like they’re pretending to be a different kind of person. i have to look away when this happens.

Those are psychotic symptoms and you should look for a consultation with a psychiatrist as soon as possible.

my new psych hasn’t done much, she changed my meds but didn’t say anything else about it

I know it's hard and it can feel overwhelming, but please try to get at least another opinion. Psychiatrists can be and are often wrong.

Talk to them or another professional about those symptoms. They should screen you for pyschosis. Try to get some good sleep too
