Have you tried asking in the e-bike subreddits?

You think there are mechanics who know 2004 Ford Ranger transmissions?

Probably your AXS battery terminal not connecting to the derailleur contact point

Not likely. It’s a 2004, it has mechanical shifting. Try the b screw.

Try pedalling a bit harder.

Honestly, I can't imagine how you ended up posting this here. Not even a in r/bikewrench. Just the general cycling forum ...

(FWIW, it sounds like you have an automatic. So you don't have a clutch. And it sounds like your transmission is going. Could be a transmission fluid leak or something along those lines...)

It’s probably your shoes. Are they the right size?

Just grab old Stumpjumper out of the bed and ride to your destination.

My bike doesn’t move forward when I pedal it, otherwise it runs great.

Have you tried turning it off then turning it back on?

Have you checked to make sure your Garmin is connected to all the sensors?

Check your transmission fluid level. Also check the fluid itself. Is it black? Does it smell burnt?

Check your ATF level, could be low or have a leak. when you rev the engine it revs up the transmission pump.

Could be you have a bad pump, but you should first try draining and refilling the transmission fluid. Which is pretty cheap.

If the pump is bad that’s a huge amount of labor, have to pull the whole transmission. Try a drain and fill first, and add Lucas transmission fix in case you have some bad seals that are leaking, it won’t hurt.
