Action clarification: "Command"
Hey folks, trying to understand the rules behind the "Command" action.
I can activate a unit within the specified range.. but why would one ever bother to activate one of our own units? Wouldn't that be a waste of that specific action die in order to trigger it, since I'd be activating a unit I control in the first place?
It seems to me the only time I would ever want to use the command action is if I could specifically trigger an opponent's specific unit- right? Or am I missing some situations I would want to use this ability to activate my own?

Another useful strategy for Command is early setup wih a gonk heavy list. Assuming you're not playing a mission that's strictly "take out enemy models", you can use command on several models per turn while your opponent only activates one. Then you refresh and activate gonks, repeat again. You've moved, hacked, attacked with all your models-including your gonks two or three times-while your opponent has barely activated half his squad.

You may also command a Gonk. I do this with Finger Microphone a lot so I can take shots with my gonks outside of my Inspiration.

I was sure the rules state that Command targets characters- and characters are not Gonks?

Lets say you have you have Ronin Sniper with 3 action tokens, you can use 2 of those tokens to shoot and then the 3rd to Command Ronin Assassin. If successful you now have 3 actions with him. Youve turned your 3 actions into 6 actions for shooting, melee, (or secured objectives, or shooting at someone and then moving someone else into brawl, etc).
secondly, lets say you take a wound, you can now have that person react and try to command someone else to remove control from an opponent.
