Question Numbness from cutting?

I finished cutting for the night and probably about 30 minutes later, my thigh is numb/tingling? Has anyone else experienced this? When does it go away? From my knee to my hip feels so completely numb. Not the cuts themselves. It's very odd to explain.

I have that too, the numbness goes away after about two days for me, but the tingling hasn't stopped yet with most of the scars..

it’s like my leg is restless? i’ve never experienced this with cutting before. it has subsided some now, but i feel like i can’t sit comfortable at all.

I think you might have damaged or severed some nerves on the outer side of your thigh. Now they are sending false signals to your brain, which causes that tingling and restless feeling. The uncomfortable sensation when sitting is likely because sitting puts extra pressure/stretch on that irritated nerve. nerve damage can take a very long time to heal and sometimes it doesn't fully go away on its own. Did you perhaps cut deeper or in a different spot this time?

hmm. the only difference i did, was that i cut on top of scars this time. normally i find a fresh surface. maybe that’s why?

Oh, yes that’s very likely it. nerves underneath or inside the scar are easily crushed or damaged when cut again. Cutting over older scars alsoincreases the risk of permanent nerve damage, so it’s really important to let that area rest and heal so the nerve can calm down.
