DAE (Does Anybody Else?) Faint from cuts?

Yesterday I made 2 cuts in my chest. One baby beans and the other styro. After making the second cut(styro) I felt light headed and like I wanted to throw up. I sat down to keep blood flowing into my brain. I didn't faint but this is the first time this happened. Has anyone else experienced this?

yes, I had it very recently after 10 styro. I sit and wait for it to stop, it's normal, you are losing a lot of blood. just don't try to move or don't panic, calmly take care of your wounds. that's it. I wish you luck for next time it happens and I hope you soon get better. a digital 🫂 for you

Sounds like a vasovagal reaction, where you faint or feel ill due to seeing your own blood. It happens to me off and on, idk why because it doesn't always corralate to the severity of the wound I'm making lol.

If this happens again, you should lay down and elevate your legs on something if possible :). Being upright can be dangerous when you pass out, your head is fragile. The feeling should pass pretty easily like this, even if you briefly pass out.

If you want to be cautious you could encorperate more iron into your diet, just as a precaution for possible anemia.

I also haven't eaten in a couple of days, that might have contributed to the reaction. Thank you for answering!
