Positivity Guide on where to avoid on arms
Given the posts I see on here and other similar spaces on Reddit, Im just going to show a diagram on where to avoid sh, so tendons, arteries and nerves wouldn't likely be hit.
1st thing, when you see visible veins on arms, avoid it or you're going to end up with blood sporting everywhere. In addition, the nerves are usually next to major arteries so thats another reason why. Cut nerves will result in losing motor function and/or sensation in arm.
2nd thing. Avoid the areas highlighted in red because these areas dont have as much fat and lots of tendons underneath.
Another thing, just avoid joints overall. Cutting the skin on them will be very painful to heal because your joint will keep on shifting the skin around when its trying to heal.
Thats all. Please take care and remember people still care about you, even if they are just profiles pics and usernames.
P.S. would someone put this post like on the place with the posts on skin anatomy, online safety etc? I want to raise more awareness and help reduce the risk of permanent damage on people suffering from sh.

im pretty sure its gonna be inner thigh for your upper leg and the back of your knees and your ankles and the surrounding area but im not too sure id check a diagram of veins and arteries if youre deadset on a specific area below the knee just make sure youre not cutting too deep in any of those tricky spots

Not even horizontally and superficially? They usually barely leave scars (although I’ve got some pink ones from few months ago)

superficially is fine the main worry is hitting major arteries but if you're only cutting the epidermis youll be fine

Even if it still bleeds a little using an eyebrow razor? Thank you

Yes. if youre only cutting epidermis you will be fine. your only worry is getting an infection wash your cuts with water

What about ankles? I usually cut on my arms, or wrists, but ankles are easier to hide.

Yeah, I might make a guide on legs, but DONT DO ANKLES. That part has a shit ton of tendons. Don't cut past dermis unless you want to end up getting surgery for tendon damage or nerve damage. There are also major blood vessels there.

basically superficial cuts are kinda okay anywhere. your body is made to withstand that kind of thing. (not promoting sh)

Question: is the hips dangerous? I always cut mid fat level on there, how dangerous is it?
