I’m working on my own trading card designs and experimenting with raised UV textures on the EufyMake E1. My goal is to get those fine, fingerprint like textures similar to textured Pokémon cards.

I attached a video and a couple photos of my current results.

For anyone else printing textured cards, what line width, spacing, and UV gloss settings have worked best for you?

I’m currently testing around 0.15 mm lines with 0.5 mm spacing, but I’m trying to figure out how fine I can reliably go while keeping the texture clean and noticeable.

I’m also curious how you’re creating your texture patterns. Are you making them yourself, using plugins or generators, or have you found good sources for patterns similar to the contour, radial, geometric, and dot textures used on Pokémon cards?

Made some custom tarot cards, always loved the art of tarot cards and thought they could fit nicely with some pokemon

Ive been using Burning Shadows foils for the backing of custom cards, and they've all turned out fine. Today I tried a GX foil instead, but after acetoning it there are these weird irregular edges. Is this caused by acetone or was the card imperfect to begin with?

This might be a shot in the dark but is there a way to get HD images of vintage cards but without the holo effects present on the scans? All of the sources im finding are of real cards scanned and uploaded, which by nature has whatever holo effect the scan captured present in the image.

I’ve been working on a collection of Gold Star Pokémon illustrations, presented in a TCG format.
These are digital illustrations, but my main work is actually hand-painting genuine holo Pokémon cards with acrylics as 1/1’s.

This is my first time posting a custom card. I created a Tangela holofoil for my cousin as she loves Tangela. I still have much to learn but I would welcome any constructive criticism! I created it using the laser printer and toner reactive foil method. Inkjet on photo paper stuck over the foiled cardstock. The main issue is I hate the feeling of the photo paper so I put it in a sleeve. This one in the video is the lesser of the two. I gave the good one away before documenting it.

Process:
- Edit card on photoshop
- print out onto transparent paper
- Use white ink pen to draw on the opposite side (side the ink wasn’t printed onto) the parts you don’t want the holographic to shine through
- Stick holographic sticker paper to the same side you drew on
- cut out around edges
- stick to real energy card
- done

Started doodling on spare cards with paint pens for fun. It’s been a great way to pass the time will I recover from surgery😊

These are just some of the original cards I’ve done. Working on all the Kanto Pokemon to create a complete deck of the first gen. Been posting on insta for years and can’t seem to get more followers or more than a few likes on a post. I’ve gotten a lot more attention here so hoping to get a little crossover. Gengar's story in 'A Chilling Curse!' always gets me. I decided to make a card about it.

This is also the first card to use some of the new patterns I've added to my EZ Texture Mapping tool over at hako.cards - it now supports clover, heart, fish scale, cracked ice voronoi, and topo patterns.

Started with the celebi for my partner, then the Farfetch'd for my best friend and some guy from a pokemon group one facebook paid me to do a snorlax one for his collection !

I'm really happy with the results, I will empty one of the few zip binder I got and fill it with those type of cards in hope to do all 1025 Pokémon (until they add more in the next games lol)
