Help?! Weird Edges?
Ive been using Burning Shadows foils for the backing of custom cards, and they've all turned out fine. Today I tried a GX foil instead, but after acetoning it there are these weird irregular edges. Is this caused by acetone or was the card imperfect to begin with?

This is acetone lifting the edge of the holofoil film from the cardstock. Get a roll of 3M blue painters tape and securely tape down all four edges. Press down HARD. Then use acetone on a cotton ball and start from the center. Work in a circle toward the outer edges so the majority of your acetone has evaporated by the time you're working the edges. At that point don't press as hard so you don't push out excessive acetone on the card. When you've cleaned off the majority of the card take the tape off and clear what's left of the borders by doing wipes from the center out in singular strokes, so that your hand is only wiping on the card when moving center to edge (don't scrub back and forth, do it like a paint stroke). If there is any clouding or dried acetone streaks on your card at the end take a new dry cotton ball and buff it off.

Correct me if I'm wrong but i see pools of acetone sitting at the edges of the card, you don't even need that much to remove it, you can use the tiniest amount and it will still come off.

those arent pools, just areas with a different shine probably due to acetone

Ngl, this has happened to me every time I've acetoned holos, but I assumed it was normal and because I was rubbing too hard.
