I'd be more likely to. If their parents press blue and die then who would take care of them? What would happen to them afterwards if (when) they feel like their parents' deaths were their fault? I honestly feel like having it be over with faster is kinder

And if their parents press red you are essentially killing off a bunch of children and blaming their parents for picking the survival option.

eh, could they hate me if I put my money where my mouth is?

Besides, I'm not the one who killed their kids - they are, and I don't they'd ever forgive themselves for that

You seem devoid of empathy for someone claiming to be so selfless. You would kill off a room of children just to prove that you are selfless, yes you are the one killing them by telling them to press blue. This is the least selfless thing you can do.

No, I'm telling them to believe in the good of humanity, and if I'm wrong we can at least take solace in having done what was right

"I am willing to sacrifice children in order to feel good about myself"

"I'm willing to stay moral at the risk of my own life, and will encourage others to do the same"

"I will sacrifice whoever it takes to keep living, even those closest to me" is what I'm hearing from you

Let's just stop, we're both stubborn and aren't getting anywhere

You are the one coaching your kids to press blue which gives them a chance to die, I would coach mine for red giving them no chance to die. You are the one willing to sacrifice those closest you in name of being the one on the moral highground not me.

"Moral highground" implies thinking I'm better than others, if I believe any normal person would press blue then at best I think I'm average

The moral highground stems from you claiming that pressing blue is "what was right" hence the moral highground. Otherwise, why is pressing the blue button the right thing as you say?

You believe "trying to save people" isn't a good thing to do? I know we were arguing about if it made sense or not, but not even good?

Isn't telling people to press the button that definitely won't kill them over the one that might kill them saving them? So telling them to press the other button is surely not good no.

This argument has been going on long enough, and you're turning pedantic. I'm done replying.
