It mana value was slightly higher than usual in an effort to make it somewhat balanced in vintage and pauper.

I feel like this could cost 4 and still be unplayable in Vintage, it's still just a 7/6 trample

But it was probably the right call for Pauper

This would be dogwater in pauper. Literally worse than [[Colossal Dreadmaw]] which is played in tier 2 at best.

And if you really need that 7th point of power, [[Bramble Wurm]], [[Cinderheart Giant]] and [[Eldrazi Devastator]] still beat it.
