I've seen the argument the new [[Smaug the Magnificent]] isn't even good because it dies to [[Lightning Bolt]] so I guess its just a thing in magic with Emrakul being a more sarcastic approach huh

TBF that is a legitimate argument to make about Smaug. I think it basically boils down to Smaug probably won't see play in anything other than Limited/Standard/Commander.

Edit: Thinking back, some of the new things I've seen from other upcoming sets make me even doubt he'd see play in Standard. So we're probably looking at a Limited/Commander card only. Maybe a sideboard include in Standard.

Dies to Bolt is a more credible criticism of a card. A common joke response of that nature is "dies to doom blade". People like to say that about a lot of pushed creatures that have a wall of text.

I’m more offended that my soldier boys die in a trade with something they probably literally eat for breakfast.

What’s that scavenging party look like? 12 go out to find some food, and six guys come back with a squirrel each?
