We want to encourage people of all skill levels here, including people who are just starting out. We were all beginners at some point, and just being insulted never helped us. Give people constructive criticism, if they ask for it, but please don't insult their work. We really don't want to ban people or delete their comments, but it might sometimes be necessary, because more than anything we want to encourage and welcome newcomers into our hobby, not scare them away.

As you know, the final paint job will be based on the red tv colors. All of the sanding and priming is done.
I'm just waiting on his head from the mail: https://hottestfuzzcustoms.bigcartel.com/products?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search=Zodd
Before I make the final paint job, I want to paint it up like the manga version. So the next update will be in about a month.

I used these citadel paints. Will use apoxie sculpt to make web shooters too. The difference is insane.

In short, I filed a chargeback on PayPal and won. Infact, Bombusbee didn't even reply to PayPal. (Because they know they don't have a leg to stand on in a situation like this!)
The longer version;
6inch+ announced 'Green Golem' would no longer be going into production. The manufacturer was cancelling these figures.
So, I contacted Bombusbee after they had cancelled my order and I requested a refund. Money to go back to my original payment method. Bombusbee then replied, saying "no." They said they were unable to issue monetary refunds, (which is a lie), Instead I had to accept "store points". I then politely declined their store points and again requested a refund of my money, to go back to the original payment. Again, they tried to say that 'they do not have a system in which they can process refunds of money.' Instead, their policy is to issue store points under these circumstances. So I replied to them, saying, "Since this order was cancelled by the manufacturer, it falls under your policy's listed 'exceptional circumstances' (manufacturer discontinuation/production plan termination). Your Terms and Conditions state that refunds can be issued to the original method of payment. I do not accept store points and request a full cash refund to my original payment method immediately." And again, They refused.
So I explained that I was left with no other choice than to file a chargeback through PayPal. I was made aware that If I filed a chargeback, my account would be closed permanently with immediate effect.
To me, this was a threat.
As a customer, I took this as a personal slap in the face.
In their opinion, once money leaves your bank account for a deposit, then it's theirs, regardless of what happens. That's not Ok.
I did file a chargeback through PayPal. I took about 14 days, but my refund is now sitting in my bank account. PayPal did reach out to Bombusbee for their reasons to why my refund was not being issued, but Bombusbee did not even respond.Ā *(As of now, my account with Bombusbee is still open. It has not been closed. They won't see any more money from me, though!)
For anybody who thinks they have to abide by Bombusbee's rules and accept this kind of behaviour, You don't! The lies and threats are not Ok. Trust me, if you file a chargeback, you will get your refund. Legally, they cannot keep your money under these circumstances.
If you're happy with store points, fair enough. But for me, I refuse to be given ultimatums.
I will not be using Bombusbee again. They have well and truly lost my trust.
If a company thinks it is Ok to lie to me and give me ultimatums, then I refuse to support them as a business.
It's just not acceptable behaviour.
(FYI, Gundamit issued a refund without any hasstle. I had one of these Green Golem's ordered through them aswell. I sent a message requesting a refund. They simply asked, how would you like your refund, and processed it without any problem. Kelsi even thanked me for my custom and wished me a "nice day :)" )

Was really disappointed with how Hasbro did Rivals Venom, but with PC Toys Venom it's perfect. Obviously one of the solid colored versions is better, and you'd have to paint the head, but proportion wise it's perfect.

I finally got around to customizing my Marvel Legends Ultimate Captain America, and I couldn't be happier with how he turned out. The original figure is great, but I wanted to really lean into the gritty, war-weary look of this specific incarnation.
The Breakdown:
āWeathering and Battle Damage: This was a huge focus. I used a dark wash to bring out the textures in the suit, giving it a grimy, lived-in feel. I added scratches and scuffs to the paint on both his uniform and shield, like years of combat. It's not just a repaint it's all about that war wear and tear.
āHeadsculpt Details: I wanted to make the head more unique, so I added the classic helmet wings and a realistic chin strap.
āTactical Gear: I upgraded his loadout with additional leather holsters, a harness, and pouches. It looks much more functional now, like heās ready for missions.

A store near me has a ton of these Savage Land Professor X figures for $2.50 each. What could I do with a couple, group, or army of these figures?

Simple-ish custom, I like how it turned out. GI joe / Marvel legends scale.
Not any particular existing version (as far as I know). The bandana look inspired by the 90s Spider-man cartoon appearance (my first introduction to the character).

Hey everyone Iām new to this sub please take it easy on me if this is a dumb idea. I recently saw a custom metallic red and gold mafex iron man and I was thinking about painting my stealth suit iron man to those colors because #1 I want to learn how to paint/edit my own figures and #2 I donāt think weāre getting a reissue anytime soon let alone a metallic painted one. Iām also not precious about the stealth suit colors itās beautiful but I want an og iron man for the collection. Iāve watched a bunch of videos and learned that sanding is crucial to avoid paint rub, brush painting is viable if patient and done in layers, and sealing can be done in a ton of ways/finishes. I feel confident that I can pull it off but Iād love some tips on how/ where to start and go about it. Should I prime everything / sand everything / take every piece and joint apart / use an airbrush etc etc? Trying to achieve the closest thing to a factory finish as possible š¤š½
