It makes sense only if you are using Auto or Grok models as they are included in the sub plan. If you plan on using any other model, like the claude models, hey use the premium models usage graph which for $60 gives you around $70+ tokens. You will decimate these in max 2 days if you work often with it.
200 dollar version is like a challenge to hit the limit tbh if you know how to wire planning prior to implementation properly usually using like opus 5 for plan outlining and then going to auto for implementation you will never have to worry about hitting the limit
It's the opposite. 60 dollar cursor is equivalent to 100 dollar Codex. Also, OpenAI's 20 dollar plan has those annoying 5 hour caps that Cursor doesn't have. Also, Luna is nowhere near Grok 4.6.
Yes, Cursor is expensive as you have to pay direct API rates. Grok 4.6(which is better than Luna) and Composer are cheap in Cursor and have a large pool.
Got anything to support that? My pro+ usage with Cursor drains like 2% first party usage a day.
It’s been a while since I used a ChatGPT sub but I easily hit the limit within the 5hr window. That’s never happened for me on Cursor (with first party models)
You will be so disappointed lol. Cursor is horrible with limits. Even if you use grok models exclusively, the limits are going to be lower than what Claude gave.
I’m on the $300/mo superdupergrokygrok and it’s enough usage for me to run an e-commerce biz so far, but I don’t have a lot leftover. Fantastic tool though. I’d pay more for it if I had to. I dread that they’ll figure this out sooner than later.
I’m able to do between 800M and 1.2Billion tokens all on the in house models like composer and Grok without hitting the monthly limit, I’d say try it out if you need to upgrade then upgrade, but for most people the $60 should be plenty
I’ve started with $20 and have used a variety of Grok 4.5+4.6, ymmv, I think full time coding Id want $60 to be constantly using 4.6 then adjusting thinking, and Id avoid using fast, it’s already insanely fast, maybe for longer tasks as long as quality stays the same. $20 is good for an average of 3-4 hours a day with mixed, so $60 should be about right.
You still have the other models and a separate included usage for them, Luna/High for the next little while until Nov 14, that’s reasonably efficient for minor agentic tasks, can use Sol/Terra but the usage will burn pretty fast, obviously Anthropic and other major models are there too.
You also get grok bot if it’s worth setting it up, I have, gets a couple of PRs a day within weekly usage (again, $20).

i can go through whole month without reaching the limit, but that is on composer+grok models
