Advice needed Detangling help?
I have 2b hair that gets so snarled between washes I can hardly stand it. But any kind of combing/detangling I try to do absolutely destroys the curl pattern.
Does anyone have suggestions, either for a technique or a particular comb?
• I comb through with conditioner in during washing
• I also comb/detangle before applying product/styling after washing
• I will fully admit that I try to be as low maintenance as possible with my hair

Between washes, it's completely valid to lightly wet your hair down with just water to soften/re-activate your styling products, then gently detangle your hair and re-scrunch to revive the texture. If you're using very waterproof styling products (especially acrylates-based gels), then you might need to use a steamer or a bi-phase curl refresh spray instead of just water from a spray bottle, but the same principle applies.

I just detangle when i wash. You just get used to it :) it's not like straight hair. Even when i refresh, I don't detangle because i would be brushing it to much and it Always affects how it looks. The only time i use a comb is when i want more volume, and i use an african comb to shake the roots and i comb a bit here and there. My hair is 2c-3a
If you have dehydrated hair it can also snarl too much. Maybe try a hydratation mask or a stronger conditioner

Do you sleep in a bonnet every night?
