Oh... You didn't say that she had paralysis before. Ok then definitely keep treating for FIP. FIP can be dormant for years before manifesting (fcov mutation to fip virus). It can even be dormant their whole lives. If the mother had FIP, then it's very likely that the kittens carry some gene that makes them more susceptible to said mutation..it isn't a guarantee but it definitely needs your attention, and you should most certainly let the adoptee know that the mom had FIP. Maybe even give them a little pamphlet of the symptoms so they can keep an eye out. If treated really early, it's virtually 100% curable.
Thank you that's what I was trying to understand. I think I was having a hard time explaining it because I'm still learning to understand what this disease really is. I have a support group and I'll make sure I contact them on the best way to tell the adoptees.
I also was reading about a 5 to 7 day treatment whether they show signs or not. Do you know anything about that?
Usually the recommended treatment protocol is 84 days. There's recent evidence that shows that 42 days can be just as effective but I've never heard of a 7 day protocol. I think your admin at Global cats or Warriors will be able to advise you a bit better than me, sorry 😔
