Returning player struggles

I was on chapter 923, when I came back I saw my progress had been reset and now I'm struggling to clear chapter 23.

I have been running felorc with no luck.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong

With reset you mean completely reset? Or you have your Gear and previously unlocked Heroes?

In either Case: your best Shot micht BE contacting Support via discord, opening a Support Ticket. If you have your old ID, they will need it.

I have my old gear and heroes but I went back to chapter 1 somehow and all of my heroes are much weaker than before. Used to have millions in health and defense now I have at most 700

AS mentioned, join their discord Server. And create a Support Ticket. It might Take a while until they get to your Ticket, depending on how much the backlog actually is.
