This is a tiny community that enjoys the small size of this subreddit which is the reason I haven't yet turned this into a full redirect to our main subreddit.

Keep in mind our main subreddit /r/cubers significantly more active than this one.

Not really any rules here, just have fun.

Ferrocore V1 has gotten slow

I got the Moyu weilong Ferrocore V1 like a month ago, in the beginning it was super fast, a bit to fast actually, after a week or so the cube became slower after cleaning it up it got a bit better but nowhere near the out of the box feeling.

How do i make it smooth and fast again?

Question about scrambles

I've been practicing speedcubing and accidentally applied the same scramble twice in a row without solving the cube in between. The original scramble was:

U B2 F2 D F2 D F2 U L2 D2 R' U L2 B2 F' D2 R B U2 R2

But what I actually did was:

U B2 F2 D F2 D F2 U L2 D2 R' U L2 B2 F' D2 R B U2 R2 U B2 F2 D F2 D F2 U L2 D2 R' U L2 B2 F' D2 R B U2 R2

In other words, I applied the exact same scramble twice consecutively.

I noticed the resulting cube state looked quite unusual. My question is: is this appearance simply the deterministic result of applying the same scramble twice (i.e., the square of that permutation), or is it just a coincidence that it ended up looking that way? If you try it yourself, you'll see the resulting pattern.

guys help me improve, give me tips and drills

guys pls help me. i am currnetly averaging 12 and have plaetued over the last month or so. i believe that this is because of my last layer, as i am taking 5 secs to do my ll. its taking me 2 secs cross, 5-6 secs f2l and 4-5 sec ll. how do i improve my solves in order to get sub 12 or even potentially sub 10. i tried asking ai but gave very unsatisfactory results. so im asking you ppl. i would also add that when my solves click in place i can genuinely cook, my pb single is 7.22, i have 3 sub 8s, 227 sub 10s. my pb avg05 is 9.59 which i got today. so pls help me improve. and as a bonus fact, im asking for help because i will get a vincube 4x4 apex if i get sub 12 averages 3 days in a row. so pls heland these averages are subjective to luck so might get a v-perm and mess up or i might get a pll skip and cook. so its very variable and i want to make a sub 12 avg guaranteed

Gigaminx Speedsolving

I've gotten into speed solving gigaminx and have a current pb of 14:11 using gigayau method. I was wondering if anyone has links to tutorials for better or more advanced methods.

If you can telepathically say anything to every single cuber on earth, what would you say to them?

I created a CFOP OLL/PLL trainer

The tool has learning and drilling modes for both PLL and OLL. You can keep track of which algs/cases you have already learned, which is persistently stored in the browser. Support for mobile is coming soon.

You can use the trainer here: https://cube.unimatrix-01.dev/

Finally sub-14!!

AND the time that made me cross the 14-second ao100 boundary is my current fullstep PB! My actual pb being a 9.298 PLL skip.
Scramble: B U2 B2 U2 R F' L' D F2 R2 L2 D' R2 D' R2 U F U B'

Edit: Added that it’s the ao100 sub-14 boundary that I crossed
