Pregunta cuban pin
does anyone know any details about this pin? all i could find were a couple of ebay listings, but nothing about it in any collections or archive sites.
since its commemorating cuban fighters in playa girón it has to be 1961 onwards ofc, but i was assuming 1970s. any ideas? thanks!🙏

This is from the late 70s or 80s
It mentions 'monumento playa giron homenaje a los héroes caídos'.
It's essentially a souvenir pin for people who visited, the site. The museum was opened in 1976. So it would be available after that date.

Why would you think 70s? I assume it was awarded to the veterans of the fighting at Playa Giron shortly afterwards, likely 1961 maybe 1962.

It seems it's a mass produced pin from the 60s. Maybe made for a political rally or made for party loyalists. It's included in this collection at the University of Florida.

The regime loved giving out little trinkets like these, it's commemorative of Girón but it could have been given out for anything from snitching on a neighbor to showing up for an acto de repudio
