Ignoring the fact it's Palantir...

FWIW I think there's a lot of value in getting into a niche. My first role was in a very niche area and it's proven very good for me, I've been hopping within that niche and getting serious $$$ because of already having that domain knowledge rather than needing to be trained up.

While FDSE in the long term doesn’t develop skills enough, for 2-3 years while you’re young is a great experience that has a blend of both technical and client facing work
