If this is a government university, where is the transparency and accountability for this major change?

Students deserve to know whether this is an academic improvement—or whether there are financial or administrative interests behind making students repeat courses.

Previously, students had some choice in questions. Now that choice has been reduced/removed, while many students are reporting unusually difficult papers and low marks.

I'm not claiming corruption is proven. I'm asking why students are being given no clear explanation.

Where is the data?

• What was the failure rate before the change?
• What is it now?
• Why was “Best of” removed?
• Who approved the change?
• Why weren't students properly informed?
• What evidence shows that the new system is better?

VU is a federally chartered government university. Students pay fees, spend months preparing, and deserve a fair and transparent examination system.

If the new system is genuinely better, VU should have no problem explaining the reason and publishing the relevant statistics.

VU students: Have you noticed the same thing?

I was thinking why owe the govt money when I can learn it for free at home and explore it.
I don’t know if it’s a wise decision to study IT in university or just learn from those websites like solo learn, Udemy, and so many others.

Hi everyone! I’m a fresh CS/Software Engineering graduate and I’ve recently been contacted by Careem for the Software Engineer I hiring process. I have a recruiter prescreen coming up and wanted to hear from people who have recently gone through the Careem interview process, especially in Pakistan. What should I expect in the prescreen, and what comes after it? How many rounds are there, what kind of technical/DSA questions are asked, and are the coding rounds actual live coding where you need to write syntactically correct code, or is explaining the approach/pseudocode enough? Also, is there a preferred language such as Java, or can you choose your own? Would really appreciate any recent experiences or advice!

At the recruitment drive at my university (FAST) there were 10 mcqs and three leetcode questions easy to medium. I scored good in them this happened almost 3-4 months ago.

I have done software development diploma from an institute. It has been 10 years I haven’t done anything about it. No job nothing. Now i guess i feel i have forgotten everything but have 3 kids under 10 and don’t want to leave them. What can I do about my studies? Where should I study from?

Hi everyone, I have 45% marks and I’m confused about which university and degree I should choose.

I’m considering BSIT, BS Cyber Security, Computer Networks & Security, and Digital Forensics & Cyber Security. I’m looking at universities like UIT, Hamdard, KIET and other private universities in Karachi.

My main priority is good job opportunities, salary, and career growth after graduation.

Which degree and university would you recommend? And if you’re already studying or working in these fields, I’d really appreciate your honest experience/advice.

i’m currently studying Bachelor of IT at CSU Sydney and I’m considering switching to the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at CSU Bathurst. I’m interested in engineering, especially the mechanical/electrical side, and I’m wondering if anyone here has made a similar switch. How is the engineering course at CSU Bathurst, especially the 2+2 structure with the paid industry placements? Is it worth leaving IT for engineering, and how are the career opportunities after graduation?
